It may also refer to situations where one parent is wrongfully influencing their child or children against the other parent. As a concept, parental alienation is contested, and little is known about how different jurisdictions and systems address it. There is no clear agreed definition of parental alienation in Ireland and there are no reliable statistics on its prevalence. However, it would appear that the term has been increasingly cited in the Irish courts The Department wants to provide an opportunity for people to give their views on parental alienation. In particular, we would like to hear about: your views of and/or experiences of it; its impact; how it might be responded to in the future. Submissions should be made electronically by email to parentalalienation@justice.ie. The deadline for submissions is 24 June 2022 3
HSE Children First Training for Mandated Persons Workshop Online Interactive Workshops Application criteria: Applicants need to be a mandated person as per Schedule 2 of the Children First Act (2015). Please check and ensure that you are a Mandated Person prior to expressing an interest in this training. Additionally, in order to attend, staff must have completed the e-Learning programme ‘An Introduction to Children First’ and must have confirmed with their line manager that they can be released to attend this online workshop before applying.
