Here I am, Lord is choosing to bet on the Lord, docile to his surprises. This is why saying here I am to him is the highest praise we can offer him. Why not begin our days with a ‘here I am, Lord’? - Pope Francis, Angelus, December 8, 2018
Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dec 12 “…I am the ever-virgin Holy Mary, Mother of the True God for whom we live, of the Creator of all things, Lord of heaven and the earth. I wish that a temple be erected here quickly, so I may therein exhibit and give all my love, compassion, help, and protection, because I am your merciful mother, to you, and to all the inhabitants on this land and all the rest who love me, invoke and confide in me; listen there to their lamentations, and remedy all their miseries, afflictions and sorrows…”

Gracious God, Give us a heart for simple things: love and laughter, bread and wine, tales and dreams. Fill our hearts with green growing hope and selfless charity. Make us women of service, giving to others the gifts God has given us. Help us to share generously and open ourselves to gifts which are given to us. We ask this in the name of Mary, our Mother, whose sign is peace and whose name breathes love. Amen.
