This includes the regular collection of recycling materials. Crews are now collecting one bin of household waste, one bin of recycling materials and up to four bags of yard waste per household each week. Here’s how to sort your materials: Black Bin – Household waste. All waste must be bagged and placed inside of bins for collection. This bin is collected each week. Dark Blue Bin – Plastic and metal recycling. Materials must be clean and placed loosely inside of the bin. This bin is collected every other week. Light Blue Bin – Paper and cardboard recycling. Collection Calendar: To find out what collection bins to place out to the curb each week, review your curbside collection calendar online at rmwb.ca/calendar. Bin Placement: The correct placement of curbside collection bins, when placed at the curb, plays a key role in the safe collection of household materials during COVID-19. Please ensure your bins are at least 30 cm (1 foot) from other bins and at least 1 metre (3 feet) from vehicles. This spacing allows our fully automated collection trucks to pick up your waste and recycling without crews having to physically handle each bin. For more information about curbside collection in the Wood Buffalo Region, visit rmwb.ca/garbage or contact Pulse at 780-743-7000 or toll-free at 1-800-973-9663. 6
