“Mi alma glorifica al Señor y mi espíritu se llena de júbilo en Dios, mi salvador,
porque puso sus ojos en la humildad de su esclava”.
Querida familia, si miramos la imagen de nuestra Madre del Cielo, la Virgen, una pequeña
mujer de Nazaret: “Entonces el ángel le dijo: No tengas miedo, María, porque Dios te ha
dado un gran privilegio. Vas a quedar embarazada; y tendrás un hijo, a quien le pondrás
por nombre Jesús” Lc 1; 31-32. A la cual el Ángel del Señor se le presenta y le anuncia
que iba ser la mujer anunciada en el Antiguo Testamento por los profetas que iba a portar
el Mesías. ¿pueden darse cuenta de del temor de la pequeña Virgen?, pero a la vez del
poder de la palabra de esta mujer que sabiendo lo que iba a sufrir no se demora a decir
que “Si” al Señor y solo a El. El Fiat de María probablemente sea el más grande “Si” de
todos los tiempos, un “Si”, que cambio la historia, un “Si” que transformó la muerte en vida, la desesperación en esperanza, la
tristeza en gozo, que transformó todo, un “Si” que transformó el “no” de nuestros primeros padres (Adan y Eva), “Cuando la mujer
vio que el árbol era hermoso y los frutos que daba eran buenos para comer, y que además ese árbol era atractivo por la sabiduría
que podía dar, tomó algunos frutos del árbol y se los comió” Gn 3, 6. Ellos cerraron al amor de Dios. Ella, María, la mujer más
poderosa de la Historia nos muestra el camino, y es un camino lleno de esperanza. Hoy celebramos la Asunción de María y con ella
leemos el Evangelio en donde María se encentra con su prima Santa Isabel y proclama el Magnificat y en una parte de ese canto
lleno de esperanza y fe, ella dice: “Mi alma glorifica al Señor y mi espíritu se llena de júbilo en Dios, mi salvador, porque puso sus
ojos en la humildad de su esclava”. Sí, ella canta ahora las maravillas que Dios hizo en su vida. Pero, ¿saben algo?, era necesario
este momento en la Historia y en una mujer humilde y “esclava”, totalmente dispuesta a servir desde la profundidad del servicio a
un Dios que tenía un plan de Misericordia hermoso para con un pueblo que nunca dejó de amar. Dios miró la humildad de la
Servidora que no dudó y que solo dijo “Si”. Entonces, te pregunto a ti: ¿tu le dices si a Dios cuando el te pide algo?, sería muy fácil
decir sí en este contexto pero mi pregunta va más haya de nuestra relación, muchas veces tibia con Dios. ¿Realmente damos todo
por Dios?, yo personalmente no se si le doy todo a Dios. Creo que El muchas veces me pide mucho y no se como responderle a su
amor en lo que El me exige. Un ejemplo, desde que me vine a Estados Unidos a la Misión que el me regaló, muy seguido miro para
atrás: “Pero Jesús le dijo: Nadie, que después de poner la mano en el arado mira atrás, es apto para el reino de Dios”. Lc 9; 62. y es
normal, miro para atrás porque extraño mi familia, mi cultura, mi historia y estoy en un país diferente con expresiones culturales
diferentes en donde tengo que aprender todos lo días a caminar con nuevos desafíos. Pero se que no puedo mirar para atrás, dije
“Si” a Dios. Y cuando decimos sí a Dios no podemos decir no. No podemos volver al no, estamos haciendo lo de Adán y Eva,
renunciando al amor de Dios y no actuamos como debemos hacerlo como María que dijo “Si” y hoy es la mujer que transformó la
historia. Debemos actuar en consecuencia con el amor que Dios nos dio. Cuando pienso en María y el “Si” de ella, y lo que le toco
sufrir: “y una espada traspasará aun tu propia alma a fin de que sean revelados los pensamientos de muchos corazones”. Lc 2; 35;
“Estaban junto a la cruz de Jesús su madre, y la hermana de su madre, María mujer de Cleofas, y María Magdalena”. Jn 19; 25. Ella
sabiendo el dolor que iba a traspasar su alma, las consecuencias del Sí, sigue conservando su “Sí”, no negocia el Sí. Lo conserva,
pero ¿qué fue lo que ha ella le dio la fuerza para permanecer fiel?, la relación de intimidad con Dios. Una relación que la fortaleció
día a día y una prudencia y madurez que nunca la hizo dudar del plan de Dios en su vida. Cero que ha ejemplo de María debemos
vivir la intimidad con Dios en neutras vidas para saber por donde va el camino de nuestra salvación. Por donde debemos ir y como
decir si a Dios en medio de las dificultades de la vida. Este será nuestro desafío en los tiempos actuales, pero será nuestra mayor

En aquellos días, María se encaminó presurosa a un pueblo de las montañas de Judea, y entrando en la casa de
Zacarías, saludó a Isabel. En cuanto ésta oyó el saludo de María, la creatura saltó en su seno.
Entonces Isabel quedó llena del Espíritu Santo, y levantando la voz, exclamó: “¡Bendita tú entre las mujeres y bendito el
fruto de tu vientre! ¿Quién soy yo para que la madre de mi Señor venga a verme? Apenas llegó tu saludo a mis oídos, el niño saltó
de gozo en mi seno. Dichosa tú, que has creído, porque se cumplirá cuanto te fue anunciado de parte del Señor”.
Entonces dijo María: “Mi alma glorifica al Señor y mi espíritu se llena de júbilo en Dios, mi salvador, porque puso sus ojos
en la humildad de su esclava. Desde ahora me llamarán dichosa todas las generaciones, porque ha hecho en mí grandes cosas el
que todo lo puede. Santo es su nombre y su misericordia llega de generación en generación a los que lo temen. Ha hecho sentir
el poder de su brazo: dispersó a los de corazón altanero, destronó a los potentados y exaltó a los humildes. A los hambrientos los
colmó de bienes y a los ricos los despidió sin nada. Acordándose de su misericordia, vino en ayuda de Israel, su siervo, como lo
había prometido a nuestros padres, a Abraham y a su descendencia para siempre’’.
María permaneció con Isabel unos tres meses, y luego regresó a su casa.
