Bob’s Tidbits Words of some truth and imagination from Bob Honel •An Irish Toast, “May you have warm words on a cold day, a full moon on a dark night, and a smooth road all the way to your door”. •Exercise? I thought you said extra fries! •In 1903 General Electric sold the first Christmas tree lights. •Did you hear about the invisible man who married the invisible woman? Their kids were nothing to look at. •Best friends make the good times better and the hard times easier. •Why is abbreviation such a long word? •Please do not pour warm water on your frozen windshield as you’ll add another layer of ice or crack your windshield. Instead, try a solution of one part water to two parts rubbing alcohol and squirt on your windshield and this should help melt the ice. •When your mouth is on fire from spicey food, water only makes it worse. Instead, drink milk. It dilutes oils that cause the spiciness. •After a Sunday morning church service, Phillip suddenly announced to his mother, “Mom, I’ve decided to become a minister when I grow up.” “That’s okay with me, but what made you decide that?” his mother asked. “Well,” said the little boy,” I’ll have to go to church on Sunday anyway, so I figure it would be more fun to stand up and yell, than to sit down and listen.” Thought to remember... you can’t give without loving, but you can’t love without giving.
