COURSES FACULTY DAY AND TIME LOCATION Monday, January 11 • Art of the Pizzelle Julia Goyette South Lounge 1:30 PM Join Julia as she shares with you her recipe for Pizzelles! Julia will be bringing in her Pizzelle press and showing you step by step how she creates this delicious cookie! This is the perfect cookie recipe for the holiday season! Wednesday, January 13, Beer 101 Debbie Metzger February 17, March 10, Activity Room April 14 • 2:00 PM The beer industry has taken off in recent years, creating more styles and flavors to suit people who were never traditional "beer drinkers". In this monthly beer series, Debbie will provide beer tastings so you can see the differences between the styles of beer, and find out what kinds you like best. She will introduce you to beer flavors that you never thought possible! Thursday, January 21, The Bible Father Graf February 25, March 25, Media Room April 29 • 2:30 PM Join Father Graf in a four part series to discuss the depths of the Bible. He will provide insight and open an interactive discussion on topics including, how did the Bible get into its present form, the Old and New Testaments, and the geography of the Holy Land. Thursday, April 22 • Canandaigua Lake Connor Guay Media Room 3:00 PM Canandaigua Lake is a main tourist attraction for many families in Rochester, NY. It is one of the largest Finger Lakes located in Canandaigua, NY. Connor grew up in Canandaigua and most of his summers were spent at the lake. Join Connor in learning about the history of Canandaigua Lake and sharing stories of summer days spent there! Friday, January 8, Canvas Creations Bianca Sansone February 12, March 12, Activity Room April 9 • 2:30 PM Join Bianca as she teaches us how to turn a blank canvas into a work of art using a variety of painting techniques. She will provide step by step painting lessons using acrylic, oil and water color paints. Let’s have fun and create something beautiful together!

Friday, January 15, Crockpot Creations Kristen Bartzsch March 19 • South Lounge 1:00 PM Join Kristen as she whips up some of her favorite sweet and savory crockpot creations! Kristen has a passion for cooking and would like to share that passion with you. Eat, chat and get to know Kristen our new concierge! Monday, February 8 • Cut Out Cookie Creations Julia Goyette Activity Room 1:30 PM Cut out cookies have been a popular holiday tradition for many years. You may have spent holidays indulging in this tradition with your children or grandchildren! Roll up your sleeves and join Julia in creating and decorating heart shape cut outs in celebration of Valentines Day! Monday, March 15 • Facts and Figures James McLellan Media Room 2:30 PM Join James as he shares and tests your knowledge on heaps of facts and figures surrounding history, food, countries, places, famous people, and space! Bring an open mind and get ready to be surprised! Learning about Figure Thursday, January 28 • Amber Champlin Media Room Skating 3:00 PM Amber was involved in figure skating for much of her childhood years and the sport is one of her favorites. She has always enjoyed figure skating recreationally and watching it on the television as well. She has a very nice pair of her own figure skates that she plans to get more use out of in the future. Join Amber as she shares her passion of figure skating with you!

Monday, March 15 • Natural Beauty Julia Goyette South Lounge 2:30 PM Julia has many tricks up her sleeve for natural beauty care. She uses products like coconut oil and bees wax to heal cracked hands, dry lips and help skin tone. Join Julia in learning about what she does for beauty care, and even take some products home to use yourself! Supernatural Tours Tuesday, February 16 • James McLellan Media Room and Stories 2:30 PM Have you ever been curious about haunted destinations in our area? Join James as he takes you through virtual tours of the local supernatural hot spots and learn the spooky stories behind these hidden gems! Monday, February 22, Tea and Pastry Pairing Regina Zubb South Lounge April 19 • 3:00 PM Discover new flavors and enjoy old time favorites as well. Tea goes great with muffins, scones and biscuits. Join Regina as she pairs them together for a delightful treat! Travel the World and Monday, January 11 • James McLellan Media Room Discover New Places 2:30 PM Is there a destination you want to visit but never had the chance to? Do you have a favorite destination that you have been to that you would like to share? Join James as he takes you through tours of your favorite tourist destinations including museums, parks, national monuments or even your childhood home! A virtual tour gives you the feel that you are really walking through these famous destinations. Thursday, January 7, What Does Religion Tell Father Graf February 11, March 11, Media Room Us About... April 8 • 2:30 PM Join Father Graf as he dives into this four part series on the ins and outs of religion. He will open an interactive discussion on topics including is there life after death and what happened to Joseph, Mary, and other characters in the Bible?

Join Michelle for a glass of red or white wine as she invites you to an to an open forum discussion to answer all of your questions! Wednesday, March 24 • Wreath Making Lori Clement Activity Room 2:30 PM Spring time is the perfect time for a beautiful wreath to decorate your front door! Lori made these wreaths for many years to give as gifts. Join her as she shows some of hers off and help us make one of our very own. Faculty Biographies NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Kristen Bartzsch Crockpot Creations Kristen grew up just north of NYC and has lived in Rochester for the past 25 years. She attended Hartwick College and worked in sales and marketing most of her career life until she had children and was a stay at home mom for many years. She has a husband and four children and currently lives in Victor, NY. She enjoys working in a Senior Living environment and loves her new position as Concierge. Kristen loves to cook, bake and go for long walks in her new surroundings in Victor. Amber Champlin Coffee and Conversation, Learn about Figure Skating Amber has recently started working at the Legacy at Fairways as our Community Life Assistant. She is originally from Spencerport and lives in Greece with her fiancé, Joseph and their two cats Midnight and Kobe. She is a huge coffee drinker with a love for yoga, figure skating and spending time outdoors with family and friends! Lori Clement Wreath Making Lori has been working at the Legacy at Fairways for seven years as the Business Office Manager and has lived here for six and a half years working on-call overnight. She enjoys spending time with her family - she has three children and eleven grand kids. Lori also loves traveling, especially taking cruises, because she gets to see new places, try new things, and get lots of sunshine! Natural Beauty, Art of the Pizzelle, Julia Goyette Cut Out Cookie Creations Julia has been working at the Legacy at Fairways for a number of years as the Lead Housekeeper. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and adult daughter. She also likes learning about skin care and ways to use natural products for health and in the home. The Bible, What Does Religion Tell Us About... Father William Graf Father Bill Graf has been a priest of the Diocese of Rochester for 60 years and a resident of the Legacy at Fairways since its beginning. He has been teaching both full and part time for 55 of those years. He has taught history, philosophy, religion, and ethics both at the graduate and undergraduate level as well as adult education courses.
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Connor Guay Canandaigua Lake My name is Connor Guay and I grew up in Canandaigua, NY with my parents and three brothers. I grew up playing ice hockey and continued playing in college at the University at Buffalo, where I studied Healthcare Administration. I am coming to Legacy at Fairways as the Sales Associate after working in sales at an assisted living community in the City of Rochester. Michelle Kennison Wine Down with Michelle Michelle currently lives in Bloomfield and has been married for 14 years to her husband Dan. She has 3 children, Steven 25, Colin 23 and Lauren 10. Michelle is an LPN and has been in Senior Living for over 20 years. She started out as a personal care aide and went to on to school for Nursing. From there she became a Nursing Director, Case Manager and an Executive Director. Through out her career she has worked in Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. Facts and Figures, Supernatural Tours James McLellin and Stories, Travel the World and Discover New Places James is originally from Spencerport, lives in Victor now with his wife and two boys. His career started with the US Army, specializing in combat telecommunications which required him to travel throughout the US and abroad. Afterwards he transitioned nicely into sales and business development working for several technology and security corporations. Currently he is the Director of Sales for Legacy at Fairways and enjoys golf, fishing and vacation in Cape Cod. Debbie Metzger Beer 101 Deb has been working in Senior Living for over 20 years and, previously worked in the restaurant business including being the Head Chef at The Penfield Tavern for 8 years. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Service Administration from Mansfield University in Pennsylvania. She has always had a passion for cooking which began at a young age watching her grandmother cook. She was raised in East Rochester and currently lives in Henrietta. She spends time in the summer on her boat and enjoys reading and craft beers. She is also a "Parrothead" and attends a Jimmy Buffet concert every summer! Kevin Oberer Poco the Rescue Dog Kevin has been married to his wife Kaylee for five years and has a beautiful 4 year old daughter named Kaiya. During Kevin's free time he loves riding around his property along side Kaiya on their matching 4- wheelers.
NAME OF INSTRUCTOR CLASS NAME Bianca Sansone Canvas Creations, Craft and Reminisce Before coming to the Legacy at Fairways, Bianca worked at a nursing home as a Recreation Therapist and at the Greece Public Library. She is recently engaged to her fiancé James and they are getting married September 17th 2021. They recently purchased a house in Gananda and will be moving there shortly with their kitten, Greyson and there Bearded Dragon, Archer. She enjoys painting, reading, scrap booking and listening to music. Wine and Chocolate Paring, Wine and Cheese Pairing, Regina Zubb Tea and Pastry Pairing Before coming to The Legacy at Fairways, Regina worked in Wegman's Pharmacy for 15 years, and enjoyed handing out prizes at Finger Lakes Gaming and Casino for 3 years. She is a mother to 3 wonderful children that she spends time with on her days off. She became very interested in wine pairings about 8 years ago and is in a monthly wine club.
