ARBONNE INTERNATIONAL Getting Started in Your Business 5 Steps to Success This document has not been produced or endorsed by Arbonne International, and was not created by Arbonne International. This material was created by Independent Consultants in Arbonne and is to be used for training purposes. 1
Welcome to Arbonne! Congratulations – You’ve made the right choice! Welcome to our Arbonne Team, and your new business in network marketing. This choice will not only provide you with opportunities to experience financial freedom but also the freedom of time and a quality lifestyle. You’ve made the right choice because: • The Industry - Arbonne is part of the wellness industry which is expected to explode from $ 200 Billion in 2005 to more than $ 1 Trillion by 2010. • The Company - Arbonne is one of the fastest growing health and wellness network marketing organizations in the country that has experienced triple digit growth during the past four years. Arbonne is in the early momentum stage and is expected to go from millions to billions in sales. • Senior Management Team - Arbonne has a senior Management team that has a proven track record with years of experience in the wellness industry and network marketing and the necessary skill sets to expand the company’s global market which began in 2006. • The Products – Arbonne formulates their own products in their R&D center in Switzerland and has direct control over all products. They use only pharmaceutical grade herbs for all of their products. Many of their products provide visible results within a few days (i.e., REsults Approach). Arbonne has more than 350 consumable (not just luxury) products in six major product lines and they are coming out with new and exciting cutting edge products every year. • Very Generous Compensation Plan – Arbonne has a very generous compensation plan that exceeds other comparable network marketing companies. The income generated from Arbonne is all residual so you are not trading hours for dollars. All residual income built up after you reach Area Manager is willable to your family. • Building the Business – To build a business with Arbonne does not require a significant initial capital outlay like most businesses (i.e., $350 - $ 2500 vs. $150K - $250K); it has a fairly short ramp-up time (i.e., 3 months vs. 3 years); and it does not require the significant hours of work that most new businesses do (i.e., 15 – 30 hours / week vs. 60 – 80+ hours / week). • Pay-Off – Arbonne provides the opportunity to obtain a greater Return on Investment in a shorter period of time than most new businesses (i.e., 6 months – 1 year vs. 3+ years). 2
THESE 5 STEPS HAVE BEEN DESIGNED TO DEVELOP A SUCCESSFUL STARTUP IN YOUR NEW BUSINESS Regardless of your background in business, network marketing is a unique industry which requires a simple but unique system of operation. Your Arbonne success is built step by step with a solid proven system for quickly launching your business. Getting started is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3. Your sponsor will lead you through each step of the process. You'll learn how to market your business through ROM's (Reach out methods....getting and doing product/opportunity presentations). You'll also learn how to duplicate your efforts by teaching others how to follow the system. In network marketing, no one succeeds alone. It's a team effort, so you'll learn about the leadership principles necessary to build a large organization. There are 4 qualities you must have to be successful and they are: 1. You need a big dream (your why) 2. You must be willing to work hard (consistent activity) 3. You must duplicate yourself (it takes a team) 4. You must be willing to see the job through (give it enough time) Life can be very hectic and busy with jobs, careers, businesses, our family, community work and our Spiritual life. With this simple one binder system, it is possible to quickly put your head into the "Arbonne Zone". As you complete a step, you will download that step and put it in a 2" binder. You will reuse and evaluate this information for yourself many times as well as use it for training your team members. The "how-to-prepare" guidance appears in black copy and what you actually say, the script, is in BLUE wording. Put each page into a protective plastic sleeve for longevity and ease of "flipping" so you can then read the script from your binder. You have made a decision to take charge of your life and your future and we will be there every step of the way to lead you in the right direction and encourage you on your journey! 3
As the training/sponsoring consultant, and as you build your Arbonne business, it is important to be able to identify who is a true “business builder” and who is a consultant or wholesale consultant. As you will learn throughout this training there is a place for everyone in Arbonne, however, how you work with or train each individual varies greatly. You will only conduct this “5 Steps to Success” Getting Started Training with someone who has: 1. Identified herself/himself as a Business Builder. 2. Completed the “Prior to the StartNOW Strategy Session” items in Step 1. If they identify themselves on the inside sleeve of the StartNOW workbook as a Business Builder you will go through this training with them. If they identify themselves as a consultant who wants to “Share with Family and Friends” go through this training with them, and Discount Consultant training with them. However, if they identify themselves as someone who wants to “Enjoy Arbonne’s Products at a Discount” you will ONLY go through the Discount Consultant training with them. Watch what they say, and more importantly watch what they do, and match your time with their effort. By doing this, you will set a standard of excellence and clarity in your Arbonne business from the start. 4
