and Investent Hub
The USAID East Africa Trade and Investment Hub
(the Hub) boosts trade and investment with and
within East Africa. It does this by deepening
regional integration, increasing the
competitiveness of select regional agricultural
value chains, promoting two-way trade with the
United States (U.S.) under the African Growth and
Opportunity Act (AGOA) and facilitating
investment and technology to drive trade growth
intra-regionally and to global markets. The Hub is
funded by the United States Agency for
International Development (USAID).
We work within the East African Community
countries – Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and
Uganda – and in Ethiopia, Madagascar, and
Mauritius. The USAID East Africa Trade and
Investment Hub is a proud component of the
Feed the Future presidential initiative.

Ethio Leather Industry Company (ELICO) has been in operations since
2013, producing classic and casual shoes for men and women. ELICO
manufactures leather products made from animal hides, with export
standard of finished goods, such as shoe upper from goat and sheepskin,
goat suede, cow hide and gloves from sheepskin. We also make boots in
various styles, such as long boots, ankle boots and accessories.
ELICO exports quality leather products to the US, China, Italy, Kenya,
Madagascar, Japan and Russia.
