A CALL FOR ENTRY ENTRY DATE: Monday, April 18th, 2022 11 am - 6 pm Sevier County Fairgrounds Entry forms located at the Sevier County Administration Building 250 North Main, Richfield Sevierutah.net or day-of at the fairgrounds FEES: $10.00 Per Artist (Flat Fee to Enter) Students Free DAILY SCHEDULE: 18 MONDAY - Submit Your Entries 19 TUESDAY - FREE Artist Reception for Artist and 1 Guest. (Closed to public) 6pm at the Sevier County Fairgrounds 20 WEDNESDAY - Public Art Viewing @ 11am - 8pm Live Demonstrations: Glass Blowing and Ransom Owens 12-3pm, 5-8pm Speed Painting: 6-7pm - Adult 18 and up 21 THURSDAY - Public Art Viewing @ 11am - 8pm Live Demonstrations: Glass Blowing and Ransom Owens 12-3pm, 5-8pm Speed Painting: 6-7pm - Youth 12-17 22 FRIDAY - Public Art Viewing @ 11am - 8pm Live Demonstrations: Glass Blowing Demos 12-3pm, 5-8pm 23 SATURDAY - Art Pickup 8am - 4pm - Calling ALL Students - $1,000 Scholarship for High School Seniors First Place - Art Kit for High School Freshmen - Juniors First Place - Art Kit for Middle School Students First Place - Art kit for Elementary School Students. Must use the theme “What Makes Me, ME” All the same rules apply but the work has to be based around that theme.
MEDIA CATEGORIES CAS • 4 total entries per artist permitted. PRI H ZES • Only original artwork will be judged as part of the art show. Original artwork is developed from personal experience, imagination and direct observation, from multiple personal photographs or sketches. • Work should be submitted in one of the following categories: 1. Dry Media: (Drawing/Charcoal/Colored Pencil/Pastel) 2. Oil Painting 3. Acrylic 4. Transparent (watercolor/gouache) 5. 2D Mixed Media 6. Photography 7. 2022 Special Category “What Makes Me, ME” 8. Relief Sculpture 9. In the Round Sculpture 10. 3D Artwork and Objects (jewelry, stained glass) 11. High School, Elementary, Middleschool 12. RULES FOR ART ENTRIES • Work cannot be insured, but reasonable precautions are taken to prevent damage or theft. • No changes or withdrawals are permitted after the show begins. • Artwork will not be released for pickup until Saturday, April 23rd 8am - 4pm • The Art Show Committee cannot be responsible for art not claimed on pick up days. CRITERIA • Artwork should be no more than two years old and have not been previously exhibited in this show. • All works must be suitably framed and wired for hanging. Alligator teeth hardware is not accepted. • Framed works up to 48” X 36” will be accepted. • Relief Sculpture should be suitably wired for hanging • In the Round sculpture will be displayed on a table or the floor. Staff needs to be able to lift and move each piece. • Please have entry forms filled out when you drop off your artwork. Forms available to print at sevierutah.net & Sevier County Building, 250 North Main, Richfield Speed Painting Competition Wednesday 20th 6:00pm-7:00pm Adult 18 and above Thursday 21st 6:00pm-7:00 pm Youth 12-17 years of age To Sign up go to sevierutah.net under Central Utah Art Show First 10 to sign up on each night. - You are given 1 hour to complete the “Still Life” that will be placed in front of you. - You can bring your own brushes but we will provide all the paint and canvas and easels. - Judged by the Art Show Committee - Cash Prizes for 1st Place in each group. - Art Work will remain at the Art Show for Display during the rest of the Art Show and can be picked on Saturday April 23.
