Changes to NESA Due to changes in NESA accreditation, from 1 January 2021, REEN is no longer recognised as a NESA course. Once NESA has finalised their new criteria, application and assessment process we will apply for re-accreditation. In the interim any teacher who attends a REEN meeting may be able to record these as Elective Professional Development If you choose to record this as an Elective PD this may fall under the category of; • ‘any course and/or activity in a priority area that is not accredited’ • The priority area the ‘delivery and assessment of NSW Curriculum’ related to sustainability And may fit into the following criteria; • enhance teaching practice to effect positive change and impact on student/child learning progress and achievement • link to clear and relevant goals that are related to improving student/child outcomes • be job-embedded and provide opportunities for collaboration, transference and application • be research based and evidence based.

2021 anti-litter School Art Competition • Entries open now; closes Thursday April 1, 2021 • 10 winning artworks to be installed onto 10 RMS signal boxes • Prizes include – $100 for each individual artist – $200 for their school
Sustainable Waste to Art Prize 2021 • Entries open April 1, 2021; closes August 1, 2021 • SWAP educational resources available to schools • $5,000 prize over 6 categories – Junior (10 – 13 yr) – Youth (14 – 17 yr) – Open (18 + yr) – Functional – Schools' participation (the school with most entries wins $200) – People’s Choice
