Agenda Goal: To inform, listen, and understand Summer Project Changes in Parking Program Permit process Parking Enforcement Shuttle Service We Heard You
Summer Parking Improvements Project Begins by moving Ft. Bend County Park and Ride parking in Lot 2 to Lot 3 Spaces in Lot 3 will be designated for FB P&R use and should not be used by UH or WCJC parkers.
Summer Parking Improvements Project Convert part of Lot 4 to a gated visitors area to accommodate patrons of the Fort Bend County Library.
Summer Parking Improvements Project Reconfigure Lot 2 and pave Day Lot 1. Adds approx. 200 parking spaces. Improve lighting and drainage. Add new road connecting to US59/IH 69 feeder.
Permits Permits will be available for sale April 16 for UH F/S and students. We are working with WCJC on the process for WCJC students and faculty/staff. Purchased through myParking Account via AccessUH Annual Price: $285, prorated weekly for purchases and returns Payment Options: Visa, MasterCard Fee Bill (students) Payroll Deduction (F/S) Permits will be mailed to the address selected
Parking UH Sugar Land parking permits can be used on the UH campus 7a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday, valid in Remote Campus parking areas at UH Technology Bridge After 3 p.m. Monday – Thursday and all day on Fridays – Sundays, valid in any student parking area UH parking permits are permitted to park at UH Sugar Land Visitor parking will be available in Lot 4. $2 per hour up to a $14 daily max. Department will be able to purchase prepaid validation coupons for their guests. Discounts are available for purchases of 20 or more.
Parking Enforcement LPR enforcement License plate information must be kept up to date Permits can be transferred between vehicles but cannot be transferred between individuals Park in designated spaces only between lines Permit must be unobscured Hang from mirror or place face up on dash Standard UH parking rules apply www.uh.edu/parkingrules
Shuttle Service Provides alternative transportation option for students with classes on both campuses Drivers will check student Cougar Card for the special sticker issued by UHSL Student Services The shuttle schedule changes from semester to semester, for the current schedule go to http://www.uh.edu/af-university- services/parking/cougar-line/ or https://www.uh.edu/sugarland/campus-services/shuttle/, the schedule is also available on the RideSystems Cougar Line APP
We Heard You… Park and Ride consolidation/relocation will increase parking availability near academic buildings Library and visitor parking program will better manage parking inventory Expanding COAST Carpool program to Sugar Land campus 3-person carpools will receive 50% discount ($142.50) 4+-person carpools will receive 75% discount ($71.25) No sticker is required to ride between the Smart Financial Center parking area and UH Sugar Land Exploring semester and variable term permits to meet specific needs of UH Sugar Land programs
