ONCE YOU’VE APPLIED Apply for financial aid (FAFSA) Priority filing is March 2nd Search & apply for scholarships Submit on-campus housing application by deadline provided Check email and portals regularly
UPDATE THE CSU APPLICATION Login to Cal State Apply Review and update your fall 2020 grades, any college information and grades from previous terms You may add new colleges but cannot delete or edit previously added colleges and dates of attendance Review your Transcript Entry for each college you have attended Ensure ALL courses have been entered Review courses and update grades for fall 2020 Ensure all spring 2021 coursework is correctly listed Ensure repeated courses have a grade of RP and Academic Renewal courses have a grade of AR Review the Transcript Entry Guide if needed (Google: Transfer credit entry guide 2021-2022)
UPDATING THE CSU APPLICATION CONTINUED Confirm Golden Four General Education information. Check your GPA: first enter your fall grades and then click on “Calculate GPA” button on upper right corner in the Transcript Entry Quadrant. Select the “UPDATE” button located on the “dashboard” (the main segment of your application) when you are finished updating transcript and checking GPA. All updates must be completed by January 31, 2021 This process is required for all CSU applicants. However, some campuses may require a supplemental application separate from this process.

UPDATING THE UC APPLICATION Login to your UC application Select “Transfer Academic Update” Move through each section, making any necessary changes or additions 1. Update Colleges Attended 2. Update College Terms 3. Update Courses/Grades 4. Other Academic History 5. Review & Submit Review all entries and submit when complete Students are able to continue to make updates after initial submission. Complete this update by the January 31 priority deadline Each UC campus will notify you of its admission decision, generally by the end of April if you're a transfer student. UC BERKELEY APPLICANTS: YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE AN ADDITIONAL SUPPLEMENTAL APPLICATION-- CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR THE LINK TO THIS APPLICATION.
KNOW IMPORTANT DEADLINES Submit in progress transcripts by appropriate deadline (if required) Know the difference between “in-progress” (now) and final transcripts. Apply for financial aid by priority deadline and add ALL schools applied to Apply for your Associate Degree by designated deadline **Spring 2021 ADT degree applications are due by April 15, 2021—can apply with any counselor on a drop-in
NEXT STEPS Continue checking email and portal accounts Plan to attend a Next Steps Part 2 workshop (See UTC webpage for dates) Plan to attend university open houses and preview days (see university websites for details)—start saving dates and making travel plans. As soon as you receive admission notifications plan to attend- Next Steps Part 2: You received your admission notice- now what? Apply for CSU/IGETC GE certification (if applicable) Apply for Associate Degree (If applicable) Deadline for all other degrees is April 15, 2021 Attend Transfer Stars Reception in May Inform the UTC of your university choice Fill out the Transfer Recognition Award—available on-line at the UTC page
