EDITORIAL PAGES Should Girls and Boys Sports Teams Compete in the Same League? By Jonathan Rosario Sports News Editor School news Reporter I think that boys and girls should be able to compete - to a certain extent. For example, I do not think that boys and girls should be able to go against each other in football since someone is 100% going to get hurt. It's scientifically proven that boys are stronger than girls and in this sport, you are attacking each other. It is not enough to equally fund everyone. An equally important point is that recently Congress approved money for the Native American tribes in the American Rescue Plan and Jill Biden, the first lady, did a two- day meeting with the Navajo Tribe and the officials to talk about their needs post-Covid- 19 outbreak. So I do think that under this new government more Native voices are being heard, however, it is A significant reason is those lower- going to take a lot more to truly pay back income communities, and communities Indigenous Americans for the years of that are mostly people of colour neglect. For example, Flint, Michigan, which is populated by 54% Black Americans, had a water crisis for four years. During this long time, Flint was consistently ignored. The former governor of Michigan, Rick Snyder, who oversaw the state when the water crisis was hitting Flint, was even charged with neglect of duty according to court records.
