64-bit Processor Support • Android L brings in desktop class 64 bit processors to mobile devices & tablets (coming with Nexus 9) – Support for 64-bit SoCs (System on a chip) using ARM, x86, and MIPS-based cores – Android L will include 64-bit native apps like Chrome, Gmail, Calendar, Google Play Music, etc – Pure Java language apps run as 64-bit apps automatically – For App with native code, need to use enhanced NDK that supports new Application binary interface (ABIs) for ARM v8, and x86-64, and MIPS-64 #AndroidL @MaaS360
Android TV • Android user interface adapted for the living room • Less browsing, more watching with personalized recommendations for content like movies • Voice search for Google Play, YouTube and supported apps so you can just say what you want to see • Support console-style Android gaming on the TV with a gamepad #AndroidL @MaaS360
