1. Introduction The Korean Language School at Soonchunhyang University(SCH) is formally accredited as one of the best Korean Language Schools in Korea by the National Institute for International Education, Korea. SCH curriculum will help international students as well as foreigners residing in Korea learn Korean language and culture. SCH Korean Language School offers four quarters of intensive Korean Language courses a year and Each quarter consists of 10 weeks, 200 hours of the classes. In addition, students will have cultural field trips to experience the natural beauty and culture, and can also enjoy free TOPIK Classes. ※ For more information, please visit our website at http://sgee.sch.ac.kr 2. 4. Tuition and Dormitory Fee A. Tuition 1) Tuition (1 year) : 4,800,000 KRW (1,200,000 KRW × 4 Quarters) SCH 2018 2) Korean Cultural Field Trip Fee (1 year) : 200,000 KRW (50,000KRW × 4 Quarters) B. Dormitory Fee -. Dormitory Fee : 1,830,000 KRW (4 Quarters/10 months) *Meal costs not included ※ Payment of 6,830,000 KRW(1 year) has to be made for admission. ※ If applicants are in Korea, minimum registration is two quarters. C. Scholarship -. Scholarship based on GPA from previous semester is provided. 5. Qualifications Korean ■ High School Graduation or any equivalent educational background. 6. Documents to Submit Student Documents (1) Application [*provided] Language (2) Three(3) original ID photos(3.5x4.5) ※ Send the scan file(Color/JPG) by E-MAIL (3) Official Certificate of Graduation from High School ※ This certificate must be verified either by Apostille or by the Korean Consulate (4) Official Transcript of Academic Records for High School (5) Copy of Applicant's Passport ※ Send the scan file(Color/JPG) by E-MAIL KLS (6) Foreigner Registration Certificate in Korea(Alien Card) [*If applicable] Student (7) Copies of Parents's ID cards (8) Financial Certification : Bank balance record exceeding $9,000 USD School (9) Proof of Immunization against Tuberculosis(TB) (10) Certificate of Insurance ※ Insurance for international students can be purchased in Korea ★Additional documents for a university student or a bachelor degree holder★ (1) If currently a university student, provide proof of enrollment If graduated, provide an official certificate of graduation from college or university ※ This certificate must be verified either by Apostille or by the Korean Consulate (2) Two(2) official transcripts from University or College ※ Notice 1) Application form and all other materials should be filled out either in Korean or in English. Any document issued in languages other than Korean or English MUST include official notarized translations. 2) Submitted documents will not be returned to the applicant. 7. Other Information A. Refund Regulations Contents Refund Before start of classes 100% refund of the amount paid 7 days after start of classes 90% refund of the amount paid 14 days after start of classes 50% refund of the amount paid After 14 days after classes Non-refundable B. Grades and Attendance ■ For extension of visa, the attendance for classes must be higher than 80% and the GPA must be higher than 70 points (out of 100). 8. Important Notes A. False documents and/or forged documents will result in cancellation of admission. B. If the visa is rejected by the Korean Consulate, the admission will be cancelled and the paid tuition fee will be refunded according to the refund regulations. C. The applicant's name and the date of birth must be the same as passport. D. Address, phone number and other contact information on the application should be accurate. E. All documents must be original except for the ID Card, Passport and Alien Card. F. Application form and all other materials should be filled out either in Korean or in English. Any document issued in languages other than Korean or English MUST include official notarized translations. G. If necessary, applicant may be requested to submit additional documents. H. It is advised to familiarize yourself with all the details of admission guideline. I. Non-compliance with deadlines(filing of application, document submission, payment of tuition etc.) will result in cancellation of admission. J. Submitted documents will not be returned and applicant can not revise any information stated on application after submission. K.
