MORENO VALLEY may - august 2021 ACTIVITY GUIDE (see back inside cover for details) SUMMER CAMPS See pg. 7 PA R K S&CO M M U N I T Y S E R V I C E S
Dear Moreno Valley Residents, This edition of the Soaring Activity Guide is a welcome sign of how far we’ve come as a community since this time last year. A year ago, in an effort to slow the spread of the virus, we had to move all activities online. Now, a year later, thanks to our combined efforts to practice masking, distancing and handwashing, and to get vaccinated, the situation has improved enough that we are able to once again provide many activities in person with safety modifications. The City of Moreno Valley’s classes, sports, and other programs are some of the most popular services provided by the City, with tens of thousands of residents, from toddlers to seniors, taking advantage of at least one of the activities listed here. Inside, you’ll find we offer opportunities for residents of all ages to do something they know and enjoy or maybe try something completely new that promises an exciting new experience. So I urge you to consider all the possibilities included in this Guide, including activities you’re unfamiliar with. One of them could start you on a new and interesting pathway. Wishing you all a wonderfully healthy and fun summertime in MoVal! Dr. Yxstian A. Gutierrez Mayor
