2 COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS As you can imagine, we want to see as many campers as possible this summer, but our first priority is to provide a safe camp experience for all. All camps in San Carlos (Adventure Camp, Club Ed and Sports camps) are designed to follow State and local County health guidelines. Additional safety measures implemented last summer will continue for this year and will include requiring face coverings for staff and campers, daily wellness screenings and temperature checks prior to signing in each day. In addition, all Parks and Recreation staff receive annual training prior to the start of camp and new training curriculum will include COVID-19 safety protocols such as social distancing strategies and sanitizing of spaces and equipment, just to name a few! The week prior to camp, all participants will receive an email with detailed information on what to expect on your first day of camp. With these additional protocols, we are confident in providing an all-around terrific camp experience for everyone! Adventure Camp, Club Ed and Sports Wear a Mask Camps (2 week camps) For all camps, campers must wear a mask or 2 week camps are stabilized cohorts that stay appropriate face covering at camp. together for the whole 2 week session. 3 HOW TO REGISTER Online Registration Account To register online, create an account by visiting www.cityofsancarlos.org/register and click on the “Create Register Early My Account” tab. You will be prompted to fill out all information We don’t like to cancel camps but sometimes it becomes necessary necessary to build your account...just don’t forget to add the kids! due to low enrollment. To help ensure the camps or activity you are interested in meets, register at least two week prior to the first day. Registration Office Hours Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Registration Dates Call (650) 802-4382 for information about registration, classes, special events, rentals, and activities. Online, Mail-in, and Fax-in Registration. Residents Resident/Non-Resident Fees Starts April 6 – 8:00 a.m. Resident fees apply to anyone with a home San Carlos mailing Non-Residents address. Non-Resident fees apply to anyone living in another city. Starts April 13 – 8:00 a.m. All Resident registration (mail & fax) received prior to the registration Camp Refund Policy start date will be held and processed randomly beginning March 9. Camps cancelled by participant at least two weeks prior to the camp start date will receive a refund minus a $16 refund fee per camp. However, your satisfaction matters most to us and refunds will be considered on a case-by- case basis. Participants who are dissatisfied with a program for any reason must fill out a program evaluation prior to receiving a refund so we can make the class better in the future. 4 ADVENTURE CAMPS Come play with us this summer at San Carlos Adventure Camp! Trained and experienced staff will lead campers through daily adventures of crafts, games, and outdoor activities. Wear layered play clothes and closed-toe shoes, and bring a snack, bagged lunch, and water each day. Campers and staff will remain in stable groups for the duration of each session. Face coverings are required for all staff and campers. Staff and campers will be required to complete a wellness check; including having their temperature taken at sign-in. San Carlos Parks and Recreation will be following all County of San Mateo guidelines. 6 CLUB ED CAMPS In-Person Musical Theater Camp (Ages 6-9years) We offer a variety of camps such as creative arts, Discover the thrill of singing, dancing and acting! In just two weeks, campers will audition for roles, sing, dance, and rehearse for their final performance on the last day of camp. No prior acting experience necessary.
