A PUBLICATION OF HERITAGE CHRISTIAN COLLEGE FOUNDATION APRIL 2021 Educating Christian Leaders for the Advancement of Kingdom and Community As we shared in last month's newsletter, graduation ceremonies were held for Heritage Christian College in Amasaman- Accra on January 30th under strict Covid-19 government regulations. As we celebrate this achievement that occurred during the most difficult of years, we also look forward to the ongoing challenges that Covid-19 has presented to the administration, faculty, staff, and students of Heritage Christian College. Earlier this year in an emergency meeting between Dr. Atuilik, Provost for Heritage Christian College, and Deon Fair, Heritage Christian College Foundation-USA Board Chairman, Dr. Atuilik asked that we continue to solicit prayers for the upcoming enrollment period at Heritage Christian College. Dr. Atuilik explained that the financial impact of Covid on all levels of education has been dramatic. Due to limited funding available to students across Ghana, the public Universities are experiencing very high enrollment rates due to their low tuition costs compared to the private Universities in Ghana. Heritage Christian College Foundation-USA has been working on raising funds on behalf of the College and students through our Emergency Scholarship Program. We are so grateful for all of you who have partnered with us and donated to this impactful program. Enrollment and the students ability to pay tuition this year and in the following years will continue to be a major hurdle that the administration will continue to battle in order to reach their projected break even threshold. As the weather moves from winter to spring, and more individuals can now safely go about life, we thought that having a fundraiser event on behalf of Scholarships would be a fun and effective way to get more people involved in Heritage Christian College, Ghana. We have developed what we call a 'VIRTUAL' golf event and we think this is a unique way to help us raise funds for scholarships by offering the golfers amongst us an opportunity to go out with their foursome, play a round of golf under the 'scramble' format, turn their scores into our Tournament Director, and wait to see if they are victorious in battle. The VIRTUAL format and rules are explained in the next few pages. PAGE 1
