The classes will focus on process and technique so that you can work on your “homework” during the week until virtual your next class. 2
JAN 4 Virtual Graffiti Lettering James Houlcroft (Houl) 6 week class starting Monday, January 4th ARTFARMANNAPOLIS.COM 4:00 - 5:00 pm Ages 11-16 In this class students will explore the different styles of lettering found in graffiti and street art throughout the world, exploring different techniques and approaches, artists and styles, as they hone their own skills. Virtual Color Theory Olivia Mulholland 5 week class starting JAN Tuesday, January 5th 5 Meets twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays (10 sessions) 4:00 - 5:30 pm Ages 13-16 ARTFARMANNAPOLIS.COM Are you interested in building a foundation for all of your future artistic learning? Color theory had long been the building block for artists to expand and refine their work. Using the teachings of color pioneer Joseph Albers, this course will teach you how to recognize and harness color to your advantage. This 5 week, 10 session course will comprise of learning Albers method, exposure to contemporary artists pushing the boundaries of color, small research projects, culminating in a final project that will give you the opportunity to experiment and hone your skills in color theory. JAN Virtual Beginner 6 Drawing Cat Dolch 4 week class starting ARTFARMANNAPOLIS.COM Wednesday, January 6th 3:30 - 5:00 pm Ages 8-11 Get started with or brush up on the basics of drawing. Learn shading techniques, how to add value and depth, texture, proportion and scale, and perspective. Each week, we will tackle a different subject: Still Life, Landscape, Portrait, and Abstract. JAN Illustration in Ink 7 Cat Dolch 6 week class starting Thursday, January 7th ARTFARMANNAPOLIS.COM 3:30 - 5:00 pm Ages 12-16 Learn the essentials of illustrating in ink. Experiment with shading techniques, adding value, depth and texture. Virtual Beginner Portrait Drawing JAN 12 4 week class starting Tuesday, January 12th 6:30 - 7:30 pm Ages 13-Adult ARTFARMANNAPOLIS.COM In this 4 week Zoom virtual class, students will learn the basics of drawing the human face using graphite and white pencils in a tan- toned paper sketchbook. The class will begin with an introduction to the materials and line drawing, and move on to learning how to draw and shade specific areas of the face - eyes, mouth and nose. First Exposure: Digital Photography Workshop JAN 1 time workshop on January 24th 24 10:00 am - 12:30 pm Ages: Adult Have a digital camera you don’t know how to use? ARTFARMANNAPOLIS.COM Want to brush up on your photography skills? Join ArtFarm for “First Exposure,” a digital photography workshop covering the foundations of photography, camera basics, lighting, and composition tips. The workshop will run between 2-2.5 hours. That’s a type of weaving you can create, but there’s more to it than a quick find at your local home goods store. Weavings can be wearable, placed between the pages of your favorite novel, or even used as a rug - you know, some off the wall stuff. Now that you have a general understanding of a few projects you can make and if you are a true beginner interested in getting the chillest introduction to my favorite craft, join me for this beginner weaving workshop. In this class students will learn: • how to set-up and use a cardboard loom • three to four basic weaving techniques • how to plan your first project, including experimenting with color and texture • clean-up and finishing techniques SIGN UP TODAY 11

feb 15 Using Procreate to create Digital Murals James Houlcroft (Houl) ARTFARMANNAPOLIS.COM 6 week class starting February 15th 4:00 -5:00 pm Ages: 12-18 With street artist Houl as the instructor, students will learn the basics of the Procreate app and apply these skills to create digital murals, painting digitally on real buildings for great visual effect. Introduction to Batik mar 4 Michele 4 week class starting on Thursday March 4th 6:00 - 7:00 pm ARTFARMANNAPOLIS.COM Ages: Adult An introduction into the art and tradition of Batik. You will be making your own fabric dyes, melting bees wax, and using traditional tools to create art with fabric! You will have enough supplies to create 2 batiks. Students will need to provide a double boiler, or electric fry pan, to melt the beeswax in. As well as a flat iron to melt the wax out of the batik. SIGN UP TODAY 15
