9th TreeDivNet Workshop
Wednesday August 28th to Thursday August 29th 2019
                                Montréal/Canada

The next TreeDivNet meeting will take place at Université du Québec à Montréal (host: Christian
Messier and Alain Paquette, Dept. Biological Sciences and the Centre for Forest Research and the
Institut des Sciences de l’environnement).
Please see the following link for a presentation of the different research units:
 Institut des Sciences de l’environnement
     Département des Sciences biologiques
     CEF
     NSERC/Hydro-Québec Chair

Costs for organization of the meeting will be covered by the NSERC/Hydro-Québec Chair, and no fees
will be charged for participation in the meeting. However, participants need to cover their own
costs for travel, accommodation and meals.

Accommodation
is available in Montreal city center.
We recommend two Hotels near the Science campus. First choice would be at the Appartements Trylon
(https://www.trylon.ca/) with a short walk of 7 minutes to the campus or at the Château de l'Argoat
(https://www.hotel-chateau-argoat.com/), a 15-minute walk from the Faculty of Sciences.

You may also search for hotels via the tourism information of the city – Montreal is a large city with
many hotels and other types of accommodations, and the campus is located downtown.

Travel
Airports
Aéroport international Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau de Montréal: 20 km away, city bus connection to Montréal
metro (30 – 45 min) – route 747 (named after the famous airplane).

Going to the Campus
The UQAM Science campus is located downtown and can be accessed easily using the metro (subway)
at station Place-des-Arts. A map of UQAM can be found here: https://carte.uqam.ca/

The Science campus is the one located to the south-west. Biology is located in the SB building
(https://carte.uqam.ca/pavillon-sb).
