Recipe Starter – Main – Chicken Dessert – Vegetable Soup Curry Chocolate cake • Mixed • Rice • Cake mix vegetables • Curry sauce • Water • Water • Chicken • Egg • Stock • Onion • Cream • Strawberries 1. Dessert – this needs to cool down in time so get this started first. Follow instructions on the cake mix packet. Water, cake mix and an egg in a bowl. Grease the inside of the dutch oven with butter, cover the entire inside and be generous. Transfer from bowl to dutch oven and place on alter fire. Put ashes on top of the dutch oven. This needs to be checked regularly throughout the other food preparation to ensure it doesn’t burn. When hot enough this should take 25- 30 mins. 2. Bowl water for soup mix. Make sure the water is boiling before adding vegetables to speed up the process. Add vegetables and allow them to boil for 30mins. 3. Whilst the vegetables are boiling, boil water for rice. Ensure the water is boiling
before adding rice to ensure it doesn’t become sticky. Once boiled, add the rice. 4. Check your timing, if you’re ahead of schedule prepare your chicken whilst the water is boiling for the rice. If not, prepare this whilst the rice is boiling. Cut the chicken up into even cubes and fry with a bit of oil until golden. If unsure, cut chicken in half with the spoon on the pan to check. Don’t be impatient and do not burn. Remove when done. Add curry sauce and bring back to the heat. Stir continuously until hot. If it becomes too thick, add a small amount of water. 5. Check if the vegetables in the soup are soft, if not, leave on until they are, checking regularly. Add stock to a measuring jug with a bit of cold water so it is dissolved then add to the soup. 6. Once the cake is ready, remove from the dutch oven and allow to cool. Once it is cooled add cream and strawberries for decoration.
