A Word From Your Parkinson's Nurse PAULA RYAN Happy 2020 to everyone, I trust that you will have had an opportunity to spend some fun times with family and friends over the festive season as well enjoying some well-earned rest and relaxation. The weather was a tad dodgy but it is certainly starting to warm up now and it’s a fantastic time of year to get out and enjoy our beautiful Otago. For many years, we have had a very popular exercise class at Dunstan Hospital. Through the years, numbers have crept up to the point that it is now overflowing! So, it has been decided to start up a new class for those living in or around Cromwell. The first session was held on Feb 19th, between 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm in the Goldview Village recreation room. Joelene is a co-owner of the Workshop Fitness Centre in Cromwell and she will be running this very exciting “Let's Move class” Everyone is welcome, the cost is $5 per person. Please don’t forget to register for the March seminar from Continence NZ. The seminar is open to the public so spaces are very limited. Details of the dates and venues are included in this newsletter. Please contact me if you need a home visit or chat, otherwise, I will see you at some stage during the coming year.
