The competition will be held at the EPlex, Springfield Fairground, Springfield Missouri. Enclosed you will find the material needed for registration. Please make copies as needed for the clowns in your unit. You may also read and download the registration packet forms from the CSSA 2020 website at WWW.CSSA2020.com. During the business meeting the ladies will be meeting at a location to be announced. Guarantee a fun filled time. This year we will be having a sit down banquet with meal before the awards ceremony. This event is included in your registration. Dress is from formal to casual, just be there! There will be a cash bar. Early registration (letters post-marked on or before July 31) $70.00 per unaccompanied Clown for competition and banquet. $75.00 per Clown and Lady for competition and banquet. Late registration (letters post-marked August 1 or later, or walk up registration) $85.00 per unaccompanied Clown for competition and banquet. $90.00 per Clown and Lady for competition and banquet. Guest for banquet. $10.00 per non competing Clown or guest. Note for non-competing clowns and guest: The banquet and awards ceremony will be limited. Registered competing clowns and their ladies will have first priority. If you are not competing but want to attend the banquet please fill out form included in package. 12:00 – 4:00 PM: Hospitality room open
12:00 – 4:00 PM: Registration
4:30 PM: CSSCA Business meeting
4:30 PM: Ladies meeting (Hospitality room)
6:00 PM: Balloon Competition – immediately after business meeting
6:30 – 9:00 PM: Hospitality Room
12:00 – 9:00 PM: Props may be moved into the E-Plex, except during
business meeting
Note: All Props must be removed from E-Plex by 10:00 PM

Rookie Clown Certification
Central States Shrine Clown Association – Competition Rules
Approved – September 3, 2000
II: INDIVIDUAL MAKEUP COMPETITION RULES
A. At every CSSCA competition, there shall be three (3) divisions of
Clowns designated as follows:
3. Rookie Clown: Any clown in good standing with CSSCA that has been a clown
(Shrine or non-Shrine) for less one (1) year, and that has never competed in any clown
competition may compete in this division. Note: The CSSCA President may grant a
waiver to allow a clown to enter this category, it their Unit/Temple was the sponsor of the
CSSCA convention the preceding year, which rendered him ineligible to compete during
their rookie year. At the time of registration, the individual must provide a letter signed
by the unit President or Director, verifying that they qualify to compete in this division.

Dues Notice for 2020
Dear Fellow Clowns,
This is your dues notice for CSSCA 2020, which are as follows:
Annual Unit Dues: $10.00 per unit
Annual for Each Active Member of the Unit: $3.00 per clown
Per our by-laws as approved Sep. 3, 2000 (Article VI – Dues),
dues must be paid for all active members of the unit (not those
just attending the convention) before members are admitted
into any CSSCA function or competition.
Included with this notice is a worksheet for you to list all of your unit’s active members
and to total your unit dues. Please return this roster with your payment made out to ABA
Clowns. Send Registration Forms and Checks to:
