Swansea BID Sponsors Tasty Croeso Festival
We are pleased to see the popular two-day Croeso Festival return to Swansea City Centre
on Saturday February 29 and Sunday March 1, to mark St David’s Day. We are happy to be a
sponsor of this lively event, which will see City Centre visitors enjoy cooking demonstrations
with celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, masterclasses from well-known Welsh chefs,
family activities, music and walkabout entertainment in and around Castle Square. Let’s
spread the word and encourage visitors to experience all things Welsh.

Ta-Ta Footbridge, Hello
Golden Swan Bridge
This month we said goodbye to the old
footbridge over Oystermouth Road, to make
way for the Golden Swan bridge, an eye-
catching, modern, gold coloured steel
structure, which is set to become a much-
loved local landmark. The development
comes as part of the £135m Swansea Central
Phase One scheme which is expected to
provide a major economic boost to Swansea,
bringing with it new commercial and
residential units, green spaces and car parking.
We know our BID area businesses are excited
to see their new-look City Centre emerge.
Let’s continue to get behind this important
renaissance for Swansea.

We are very pleased that so many BID area
businesses have taken us up on the opportunity to
advertise for free on the big screen, in Castle Square.
Swansea BID negotiated a package of free and
discounted marketing and advertising packages for
our BID area at the end of last year, and Madame
Foner, Swansea Safe Deposit, Las Iguanas, The Three
Lamps, The Mortgage Advice Bureau, The Greek
Acropolis, Chic & Elegant, The Gamers’ Emporium
and Ohana Coffi have taken up the offer, to date. If

Bello Capelli Goes to Great Lengths to
Keep Customers Happy
Well done to Bello Capelli, for being our
latest winner of the Swansea BID Extra Mile
Award for outstanding customer care. Bello
Capelli, which was established by Andrea
and Lucia Ismail, has been recognised for
the great lengths they go to to keep clients
and customers happy. The quarterly awards
are designed to give local businesses a
boost for the hard work they carry out to
help keep the City Centre vibrant and
unique amid challenging conditions for UK
retail. Previous winners have been: The
Gamers’ Emporium. Chic & Elegant, Valley
Mill, Juniper Place, and La Toscana.

Parking Offer Is a Popular
Sweetener for City Centre Visitors
Don’t forget to tell customers and
clients about the FREE car parking
every Sunday at all Local Authority City
Centre car parks and £1 for the first 3
hours at St Davids Multi-Story Car Park.
Also, Swansea’s Park and Ride service
has a cash-only offer of £1 per car
Monday-Friday after 9.30am, a cut
from £2.50. The deals, supported by
Swansea BID, will be reviewed regularly
throughout the regeneration work.
