-   This event will be run in accordance with the Speedway New Zealand General Rules and
    Regulations. All drivers must hold a current SNZ Inc license and all vehicles must comply with
    the Speedway New Zealand rule book and supplementary regulations under Technical and
    Racing Rule T13
-   Noise level of 95dba will be enforced as measured on the track infield.
-   Electronic Lap scoring will be used. Lap scoring will be by way of the Dorian
    Data Timing/Scoring system. Vehicles without a transmitter will not be permitted
    to race. Gisborne Speedway does not provide transmitters.
-   The Promoter reserves the right to alter the format to a Speedway NZ Approved format.
-   Smoking is prohibited in the pits and dummy grid area at all times.
-   The Promoter reserves the right to issue temporary numbers to avoid duplication.
    Competitors will be advised of any such change to their racing number.
-   The promoter reserves the right to alter the format and closing date after
    consultation with officials, if deemed necessary. You will be notified of any such
    changes.
-   Sponsors advertising transfers may be affixed on each car.
-   NO telephone entries will be accepted, only written entries will be accepted.
    Entries close Sunday 20th January 2021.
-   In the event that you have already forwarded an entry form and discover that you
    are unable to attend this meeting, you must notify us as soon as possible.
-   In the event of a rainout the meeting will be run on Saturday 20th February 2021,
    or on the next most opportune day and time at the promoter’s discretion in
    consultation with SNZ.
-   Race radio – A one-way receiver radio is required, please ensure that this is
    working.

FORMAT

-   Scrutineering – Scrutineering will be at the track from 2.30pm until 4.00pm. All cars
    are to be in the pits and scrutineered by 4.00pm. Technical inspection: Please pay
    attention to rules E2-3-1 to E2-3-5

-   Practice – Practice 13thFebruary from 4.00pm to 4.30pm
    Practice will be limited to 6 laps per session. Cars will line up on dummy grid and
    go out in groups of 8 to 10 cars. It will be on a “first up best dressed” basis. But with
    a maximum of 10 cars on the track at any one time.

-   Qualifying - *(Dependant on number of entries)
    .       Drivers will be split in to two (2) groups*
    .       Each group will race two (2) twelve (12) lap heats, marble and reverse draw. Top
            12 from each group will automatically go through to the championship heats.
            There will be one last chance for the remaining drivers to make to championship
            via a repechage. The highest unqualified competitors start from the front of the
            grid for the repechage race. If two or more competitors are tied on points the car
            with the fastest lap will take the qualifying position or first grid. First two cars over
            the line go through to the make to top 26 for the championship heats.

-   SNZ Format – As per rule M4-32. The championship will be three heats with a
    maximum of 26 cars with a SNZ format. Each race will be 15 laps. The highest points
    deemed to be the winner. Any tied points for first, second or third will be decided
    by a four-lap run off.

-   TRACK - Length 389m, 11.4 m on straights, 14.4m in corners, banked surface- Crusher dust

    The promotor is aware that the track surface is crucial to a good race meeting and will be
    doing all it can to provide that surface.
-   DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY - Eastland Group Speedway has a strict drug and alcohol
    policy, a copy of which can be found on our website www.gisbornespeedway.co.nz . By
    entering this event, you accept that you may be tested for drugs and alcohol as per our
    policy. .
    No Alcohol to be brought / consumed in the Pits

-   OFFICIALS FOR THE MEETING – Senior referee: TBA
-   DRIVERS BRIEFING - Drivers briefing will take place in the garden bar at 4.45pm, all drivers
    must attend, no attendance, no race.
-   START TIME – Saturday 13th February and rain out date of 20th February, gates will open at
    3pm and racing will start at 6pm.
-   AWARD CEREMONY – The presentation of trophies will take place in the Clubrooms
    immediately after the end of the meeting.
-   AFTER MATCH FUNCTION - The Gisborne Speedway Clubrooms will be open for socialising
    after the event. The bar opens after racing has finished and closes at 12 midnight.
-   ADMISSION TO VENUE – Family - $50, Adult - $20, Child - $8, Gold Card Holders - $10,
    Under 5 are free
    Family consists of 2x adults and 3x children aged between 5yrs and 15yrs
