Our judges look at many different factors when rating the skills of each
ensemble performing in the competition. By listening, watching, and seeing
the musical score, our judges can rate the ensembles on the following:
PLAYING TOGETHER DEGREE OF DIFFICULTY ACHIEVED
Engaged in eye contact with one Suitability of the musical selection in
another relationship to the ensemble’s skill
level
Performed with a balanced sound so
that no one instrument dominated General competence of the chosen
