2022 We’re back! We can’t wait to see you all in person on Saturday, February 19, for Hearts of Gold, the long-running signature fundraising event beenfiting Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. hearts Thanks to the Orlando Magic for welcoming us back to their private airline hangar with the tarmac view providing a beautiful backdrop for this unforgettable evening. Guests will enjoy delicious food and drinks and catching up with other of gold community leaders and influencers in a fun, casual environment, followed by a live musical performance featuring the songs of Queen. While there’s no doubt that Hearts of Gold is a fundraising event unlike any other, the best part is the tremendous impact our event supporters presented by make. Funds raised at Hearts of Gold allow the Coalition to meet the basic homemaker juice needs of more than 500 men, women, and children every single day. The Coalition is so much more than an emergency shelter - caring team members provide an array of services to help these individuals get back on ENTERTAINMENT their feet. YOUR SPONSORSHIP AT WORK Since 1987, Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida has been a place where hope is restored. We are a low barrier residential shelter with a focus on housing, emergency services, and diversion. Through the generosity of our community, we help families and individuals return to stable, permanent homes as quickly as possible. Each day, we serve up to 500 men, women and children through our residential programs, as well as more than 100 unsheltered individuals through our community initiatives. 1,639 Coalition guests have moved from one of our programs to permanent housing. 1,052 individuals have been successfully diverted from entering the shelter system through our Diversion Program over the past year. 1,700+ unique individuals have taken advantage of our Community Health Initiative (CHI) over the past year. The CHI provides shower, laundry, clothing, personal grooming supplies, and mail services to unsheltered homeless individuals. 244,737 nutritious meals have been served in the past year. 88% of Coalition guests come from the Central Florida area.
