CYC’s Believe in Kids Weekend offers a wealth of

CYC and its 2021 Over The Edge fundraiser were

When: Thursday, June 9th, 6PM - 9PM Where: RPM on the Water - 317 N Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60654 What: CYC's Believe in Kids Dinner celebrates the possibility within each child and honors the supporters, advocates, staff, and families who truly believe in our kids. Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour, a sit-down dinner featuring 3 courses, a dessert reception, esteemed speakers, and much more. Why: The Believe in Kids Dinner enables CYC to continue delivering its transformative programs to more than 1,500 children and families living in Chicago's divested communities. Your support will be featured at the dinner among 300+ business and philanthropic leaders, garnering thousands of valuable impressions.
When: Saturday, June 11th, 8AM - 6PM Where: 20 W Kinzie, Chicago, IL 60654 What: Under the guidance of trained abseiling professionals, rappellers who raise a minimum of $1,500 will scale 17 stories down the 20 West Kinzie building in the heart of beautiful downtown Chicago. Friends and loved ones will enjoy a one-of-kind view where they can cheer them on while enjoying a beverage in our signature Liquid Courage Lounge. Why: This edgy fundraiser supports CYC's transformative early learning and enrichment programs. In 2021, our OTE event was covered by local broadcast, radio and social media driving more than 14.4M impressions. TO GO OVER THE EDGE (OTE) AS A Whoever your squad may be, create
a team, set your goal and fundraise
#SQUADGOALS as a group.
Each member will earn an individual
spot to go OTE once the collective
goal is reached. Team members will
not rappel together but will receive
rappelling timeslots close to one
another.
#SquadGoals Teams must meet the minimum $1,500
raised per person for each team member to rappel
but can take a collective approach to reach the goal.
Example: for a three-person team--if two team
members each raise $1,800 and the third team
member raises $900, for a total of $4,500, then all
members get to go Over The Edge.

ABOUT CYC
Chicago Youth Centers’ mission is to invest in ABOUT CYC
youth in under-served communities to help
them discover and realize their full potential.
For more than 65 years, Chicago Youth Centers (CYC) has been the
place Where Possibility Lives: a trusted partner in Chicago’s most
divested neighborhoods, ensuring that kids have a safe place they can
go to explore, to discover, to process, and ultimately to envision a
bright future that they can create for themselves. In early learning
classrooms, afterschool programs, and summer day camps, youth
ages 15 months to 18 years find joy in learning, grow socially and
emotionally, and build skills for the jobs of tomorrow. CYC students are
deeply engaged, with many attending our hands-on clubs five days a
week, 48 weeks a year.
Together, with families, schools, supporters, and a network of
extracurricular program partners, CYC boldly envisions a Chicago
where every child has the resources, experiences, and mentors they
need to pursue lives of endless possibility.
ABOUT THE WEEKEND
CYC's Believe in Kids Weekend is the first of
its kind for CYC.
This dual-event fundraising weekend consists of our
beloved and elegant Believe in Kids Dinner on the evening
of Thursday, June 9, hosted this year at RPM On The Water,
followed by the return of our Over The Edge urban
rappelling event on Saturday, June 11. The Believe in Kids
Weekend enables CYC to continue to reach even higher
and further in delivering its transformative programs,
sparking more possibilities for the youth and families that
we support in Chicago’s divested communities.
CYC's Believe in Kids Weekend will take place as a two-day
celebration on Thursday, June 9 and Saturday, June 11,
2022. This inspiring weekend will celebrate our community
of supporters, advocates, staff, and families who truly
believe in our kids.
