Nature Interpretive Sign sponsorship Program Please complete the form below and submit to mkurnat@wbparks.org. Individuals or businesses may sponsor a sign for placement in parks that are under the management and control of West Bloomfield Parks (WB Parks) based upon the following criteria: 1. The sign content and design will be determined by WB Parks. 2. The sign inscription must be approved by WB Parks prior to ordering and purchasing the sign. 3. Sign locations, including the appropriate number of signs for a given park site, will be determined by WB Parks. Sponsors may choose a preferred site but ultimately, WB Parks will make the final decision as to the exact sign location. 4. Once the design is completed, donors will be able to approve the memoriam/donator section only. Interpretive design is left to the discretion of WB Parks staff. Donors will be notified when signs have been installed. 5. The sign will be maintained in its original location by WB Parks for a maximum of 10 years. If future park development dictates that a new location is necessary, WB Parks will relocate the sign at its expense. Other than this exception, the sign will be maintained by WB Parks within the park area chosen for a maximum of 10 years. 6. The sponsor will be given the “first right of refusal” to sponsor the same sign again after the original 10 years expires. WB Parks staff will e-mail, call or write a letter to the sponsor in which the sponsor will have 60 days to repurchase or refuse sponsorship of a new sign. If the sponsor does not respond within the timeframe, WB Parks will list the sign as available to future sponsors. 7. Cost for purchase and installation of sign is $1500. A discounted rate of $2500 for two signs. Payment can be made by check, Visa or MasterCard. Payment must be made in full prior to sign design. Refunds will only be issued up to two weeks following the purchase date. 8. Design and production can take up to 16 weeks. Sign installation is weather dependent and only guaranteed May-October.
