As a commuter county, Wicklow is developing rapidly. House prices are high, rental properties scarce; our hospitals and roads are packed and our rural areas cry out for facilities. Meanwhile as we edge ever closer to climate breakdown, the pressure is on the people and politicians of Wicklow to act in the interests of our planet. A general election in the first few months of 2020 will give us an opportunity to make our voices heard on all of these issues. Wicklow Times asked our five sitting TDs, and the Cathaoirleach and County Manager of Wicklow County Council what their priorities and hopes are for County Wicklow in the year ahead. Minister for Health them in Dáil Eireann as improving our public Simon Harris said “I their TD.
