Who we are • Francis Tuttle Technology Center (FTTC) supports the Edmond area with meaningful training opportunities for individuals and businesses, providing economic development benefits for the community and the entire state of Oklahoma. Students include high school juniors and seniors, as well as adults who seek to improve their skill levels and earnings potential, and businesses seeking to enhance their bottom line through various training options. • With almost 36,000 enrollments in FY17, FTTC staff take pride in meeting market demands and individual concerns with programs and services relevant for today and for tomorrow.
Who we are • Unique programs include: Launch Pad FT, a business incubator that serves the needs of entrepreneurs starting a new venture as well as owners of early stage companies; Project HOPE, a dropout prevention and recovery program; three college prep career academies: Biosciences and Medicine; Computer Science; and Pre-engineering; and a new joint initiative with the University of Central Oklahoma, which places a Francis Tuttle advisor on the UCO campus to provide career training guidance and resources. Each of these unique programs serves as a statewide model to enhance economic development efforts that focus on building a stronger and more diverse workforce in Oklahoma. • Secondary students who live in the technology center district and attend a public, private, parochial, charter or home school are eligible to attend tuition-free.
WhERE we are • Francis Tuttle has four locations that serve the district: • Cross Timbers, home of the Business Innovation Center – I-35 & Covell Road • Portland Campus – 3500 NW. 150th Street • Rockwell Campus – 12777 N. Rockwell Avenue • Reno Campus – 7301 W. Reno Avenue • A building expansion project is underway at Reno • Planning is underway for the future Edmond Campus • Property is located on Danforth Road, between Sooner Road and Coltrane Road
WhERE we are • Project SEARCH provides programs for special needs students, helping them transition to the workplace through training and work experience at employer sites. Business innovation center • Located at the intersection of I-35 and Covell Road in Edmond, the Business Innovation Center provides a purpose-built environment in which Francis Tuttle can deliver programs and services to the Edmond area more efficiently and more comfortably. • Personalized Business Training Services • Career Development and Personal Enrichment • Center for Municipal Excellence • Launch Pad FT Business Incubator

enrollment Student enrollments at Francis Tuttle are categorized into three primary training areas that are reported on a statewide basis. Career Training Programs, Adult and Career Development Classes, and Business and Industry Training are offered in a variety of formats, time frames, and locations. Career training Upon completion of career training programs, students are prepared for multiple industry certifications, including: • Comp TIA; A+; and Net+ • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) • Oracle Certified Associate • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RPT) • MCSE and MCSA • Automotive Service Excellence • Cisco Certifications Certifications • Certified Technician in Orthotics • Instrumentation, Systems & (CTO) & Prosthetics (CTP) and Automation’s Certified Control Certified Pedorthist (C.ped) System
Career training The majority of Francis Tuttle’s Career Training Programs are accredited by state and national agencies such as: • American Association of Medical • National Commission of Orthotic Assistants & Prosthetic Education • Commission on Accreditation of • National Institute for Metal Allied Health Education Programs Working Skills • Microsoft IT Academy • Oklahoma Board of Nursing • National Association for • Oklahoma State Board of Education of Young Children Cosmetology • National Automotive Technician • Oracle Academic Initiative Education Foundation
Career development & Personal enrichment Classes are available in different formats, timeframes, and locations to meet the varying needs of busy adults. These range from professional continuing education for licensing requirements, to personal and professional development, to special interests and crafts. Times vary from daytime to evening and weekends. Classes are offered at each of Francis Tuttle’s three campuses. More than 1,200 career development and personal enrichment classes were offered during FY 17. Examples of these classes include: • Real Estate Continuing Education • Insurance Licensing Preparation and Continuing Education • Investment and Financial Planning • Computer Technology • Spanish for Healthcare Professionals
Business & industry services The Business and Industry Services team (BIS) at Francis Tuttle supports individual entrepreneurs and Fortune 500 companies alike, who rely on Francis Tuttle as their training partner. With a primary goal to help businesses meet and exceed expectations, the BIS team served 892 companies in 2016-2017 in training courses, workshops, and seminars, customized to meet the specific needs for each individual business and organization. From training for new technologies, to strategic planning for business ventures, to specialized safety training for the unique hazards of the workplace, the BIS team offers services to develop, enhance and ensure the success of local businesses. Some of the companies and organizations served by BIS in FY17 included: City of Edmond, University of Central Oklahoma, Nestlé Purina Petcare Company, Pelco Products, Inc., Oklahoma Energy Resources Board (OERB), Jetta Corporation, Citizens Bank of Edmond, Hobby Lobby, NBC Bank, UE Manufacturing, and Centek Group.
Partnerships Francis Tuttle proudly fosters mutually beneficial, win-win partnerships with many educational, business and community organizations to determine the best long-term strategies to meet both current and future demands. Some of our partners are listed below: • Advisory committees – each of Francis Tuttle’s Career Training Programs has an advisory committee comprised of representatives from their industry • Center for Municipal Excellence – In partnership with the City of Edmond, FTTC provides training for Oklahoma municipalities that results in improved efficiencies and cost savings • Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance – Francis Tuttle sponsors an onsite Manufacturing Extension Agent Partner Schools – High school students from the following districts may attend Francis Tuttle tuition-free: Cashion, Crescent, Deer Creek, Edmond, Putnam City, and Western Heights.

Community service Students and staff at Francis Tuttle take part in a number of activities each year in support of worthy causes. Projects in which students and staff, along with the task force, Francis Tuttle Partners and Friends, participated this past year included: • Christmas Assistance • Francis Tuttle Food Drive • LEGO League competition • School Supply Drive • Special Olympics • United Way
