2019 TRAINING CAMP MARCH 09 - 10 MARCH 11 - 14 WELCOME OF THE PAN-AMERICAN JUDO CONFEDERATION PRESIDENT Dear athletes, coaches and delegates: On behalf of the Pan American Judo Confederation, receive the most cordial welcome to the Pan American Open, which will be held in Lima, Peru. This important competition in the calendar of the Pan American Judo Confederation and the International Judo Federation will contribute to the formation of the higher ranking and award points for qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. I take this opportunity to express my personal thanks for the support given to us by work tem of the Peruvian Judo Federation and its Vice President, Mr. Manuel Del Castillo. As every year, the Peruvian Judo Federation will do its best to develop this magnificent event and works for the enjoyment of all the participants. We invite the judo family from around the world to participate in the Pan American Open Lima 2019 to be held on March 09 and 10. As well as for the international training camp from March 11 to 14. 2019 TRAINING CAMP MARCH 09 - 10 MARCH 11 - 14 7. INSURANCE Each National Federation is responsible for their competitors. Pregnancy control as well as gender control is under their responsibilities. The federations must assume all responsibility for accidents and illness as well as public liability insurances for their competitors and staff during their stay in Peru. Tournament's Management and the Peruvian Judo Federation will not be held responsible for any insurance related with the above-mentioned matters. Inside the competition venue, tournament's management will provide primary care emergency service, and an ambulance to transfer people to a hospital facility, if required. All further or additional medical treatment, such as an injury and/or disease that requires hospitalization, treatment, surgical procedures and medicine will be taken on by each country's federation as far as costs are concerned. Therefore, all participating delegations and judokas will release the Peruvian Judo Federation and their respective organizing committee from the responsibility for any incident, injury, accident, disease or death that might take place inside or outside tournament's facilities or during trips or transportation related with this event. 8. HOTELS INFORMATION NATIONAL FEDERATIONS. Hotel reservations must be made only through the tournament's organization until February 10, 2019 at the latest. Minimum reservation: three (3) nights. The hotel payment will be expected until February 15, 2019 through a bank transfer in American Dollars Those delegations of countries that cannot make bank transfers will have to pay in cash upon presenting credentials, having previously fulfilled in time with formal registrations and reservations. Any reservation or request for extra rooms, additional to the ones requested after the established deadlines, will have a surcharge of 10% on top of indicated rates, with no exception. Any room cancellation after February 15 will not be entitled to reimbursement. Reservation cancellations cannot be made during the accreditation. Injuries, visa problems or diseases will not be accepted as valid reasons to cancel room reservations. Hotel reservations are made in order of arrival of requests sent. In case the places in designated hotels are full, a hotel with the same features and proximity similar to hotels mentioned in these rules will be assigned letting you know in advance.
2019 TRAINING CAMP MARCH 09 - 10 MARCH 11 - 14 9. ACCREDITATIONS Accreditation and delivery of credentials will be held: Thursday, March 07 from 14:00 pm to 19:00 pm at the hotel. Friday, March 08 from 09:00 am to 12:00 m at the hotel The head of each country's delegation will have be on time to present credentials of all the athletes and delegates. At that moment the value by competitor registered for the tournament (USD 20) will be payed. Attending late or an absence for credential checking will lead to the exclusion of all the competitors from the draw and event. All competitors, coaches and delegates will be provided with credentials, which they must carry all the time. The passports of all participants must be available at hand at all times, in case it is required. 10. COMPETITION REGULATIONS The competition will be conducted according to the IJF's refereeing regulations. Repechage will be of quarter-final. 11. WEIGH-IN Weigh-in will be the day before the competition at a designated Hotel A and VIDENA according to IJF's regulations Unofficial Weigh-in : 18:30 a 19:00 Official Weigh-in : 19:00 a 19:30 12. DRAW Date Time Place March 08, 2019 14:30 Hotel Four Points by Sheraton Each country may send two (2) delegates to the draw.

AWARDING CEREMONY • At the medal ceremony the athletes must wear their WHITE judogi. • Each athlete who has won a medal must be present at the ceremony to receive their medal personally. Any athlete who is absent in the awarding ceremony without a good reason may forfeit the medal • It is strictly forbidden for athletes on the podium to have national flags or similar items. • Any demonstration with religious, political, personal or commercial connotation is prohibited. It is also forbidden to attend the medal ceremony wearing caps or any similar head covering.. 14. JUDOGI AND PROTOCOL • In all official training, awarding ceremony and championship start and end ceremonies, judokas must present themselves with WHITE judogui, without socks or jackets or accessories • For foot hygiene, judokas must move with footwear in the warm up zones. • The competing ladies must wear, under the judogui jacket, a plain white shirt or mesh, with short sleeves, of resistant fabric, long enough to be inserted inside the pants. The shirt or mesh must be round neck and can not have visible marks or drawings. • The athlete’s hair should not touch the lapel of the jacket. • The judogis must be clean and with their measures adjusted to the IJF regulation. The Sokuteiki will be used in the Judoguis Control area. • Failure to respect these rules may mean disqualification of the event. 15. BACKNUMBER • Each participant has the obligation to have stitched, in the back of his judogi, the backnumber with his surname and the abbreviation of the country. It must have the following dimension: Width 38cm - Height 39cm. The zone of name and country must have: Width 37cm - Height 19,5cm. • The backnumber should IJF should be fixed horizontally and centered on the back of the judogi. It should be 3 cm below the bottom of the flap. The backnumber can get it on the sites: www.ijfacknumber.com or www.mybacknumber.com • The backnumber are the responsibility of each Federation. Failure to comply with this requirement will mean the disqualification of the judoka from the competition.

COACHES • The code of conduct of coaches must be strictly observed, including dress code, which for this event can be suit, trousers and necktie, or the sport uniform of the delegation. • Coaches are not allowed to give instructions to the contestants while they are fighting. Only during MATE breaks, coaches will be allowed to give instructions to their athletes. After the break and during the fight, coaches must keep silence again. • If a coach does not respect these rules, he or she can be expelled from the competition area. If the coach insists on his or her conduct from outside the competition area, he or she could be penalized and expelled from tournament's facilities. 17. TRAINING Training schedules will be given upon accreditation at the official hotel. 18. TRANSPORT • The organizers will provide transportation to the delegations hosted in official hotels, free of charge, between the airport and the official hotels, and From official hotels to where the activities planned for the tournament take place. • The organization is not responsible for transportation if the flight itinerary information is not sent on time, or you can changed it without notice, and in any case for activities outside those of the official tournament. 19. FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLE All National Federations, officials, coaches and athletes participating in the event described in these outlines must respect and accept the authority of the organizers, the Rules and Regulations of the organization, as well as the IJF's refereeing regulations.
