University of Nottingham, Jubilee Campus This year’s conference is taking place at the University of Nottingham, Jubilee Campus, in the Business School South (7&8). See Campus Map on back cover. The Jubilee Campus is a modern purpose-built campus over 65 acres. Built on a site that previously had industrial use, the campus in now an awarding winning example of brownfield regeneration, with sustainability at its core. The campus was opened in 1999 with state-of-the-art facilities set around a series of lakes which are now home to a variety of wildlife, as well as providing cooling, ventilation and heating for the buildings. Business School South was built in 2004 and provides excellent facilities in a beautiful open setting with plenty of outdoor space to escape to. Business School South, University of Nottingham, Jubilee Campus We are hoping for yet another sunny week to take advantage of the setting with an informal BBQ on the first evening of conference, Tuesday 4th September, and our Gala Dinner the following evening. This year our Gala Dinner will be in the spectacular Winter Gardens, within the newly completed GlaxoSmithKline Centre for Sustainable Chemistry (31 on the Campus map). Conference Sessions All conference sessions will take place in Business School South: Business School South University of Nottingham, Jubilee Campus Wollaton Road Nottingham NG8 1BB +44 (0)115 951 5151 The conference Registration desk will be in the main concourse within Business School South, where our Conference Partners and Sponsors will also be based. Business School South has two lecture theatres which can be accessed via stairs or lift, and all the breakout workshop rooms on the ground floor. Conference Registration Registration will be from 10.00am on Tuesday 4th September, and for day delegates on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th, from 9 – 9.15am. Delegates arriving on the first day of conference, Tuesday 4th, are advised to come directly to Business School South, where a secure baggage store will be available. Accommodation Conference accommodation is in Newark Hall (see Campus map), a short walk (5 mins) from Business School South. Accommodation is in single ensuite rooms. The rooms are organised along corridors with a shared kitchen/pantry. There are tea and coffee making facilities in each room and towels, linen and complimentary toiletries packs are provided. Irons and ironing boards are also available. You are advised to bring your own hairdryer. If you are delayed and arrive after midnight you should use the YELLOW telephone outside Newark Hall to contact Security who will come to assist you. 26 June 2018
Delegates arriving on Monday 3rd September, will be able to check in from 3pm, (possibly a little earlier if the rooms are ready). Delegates arriving on Tuesday 4th or Wednesday 5th September are advised to come directly to Conference for registration, where your luggage can be secured safely until later in the day. Monday Night Delegates Please note that bookings made for Monday 3rd September are bed and breakfast only. We are unable to provide an evening meal or entertainment. Meals Delegates are asked to wear their delegate badges at all times, including for evening meals. All food from the pre-arranged menus and a limited quantity of drinks at the drinks receptions and evening meals, has been paid for by ASET. You will be able to purchase additional drinks at the gala dinner and the barbeque. Breakfast A self-service counter for continental and/or full English breakfast will be open to residential delegates from 7.30am in the Atrium (5 on Campus map), you will need to show your room key as proof of residency. Lunch Lunch on both days will be served in Business School South. Evening Meals Tuesday 4th September (BBQ) On Tuesday evening delegates are invited for a barbecue, and weather permitting, will be enjoying the lakeside views alongside the Atrium and from the grassy island. We plan to meet at 6.30pm for drinks leading into the BBQ, followed by the now legendary ASET Quiz night hosted by the ASET Trustees. A cash bar will be open throughout the evening for delegates to purchase any additional drinks. This will be an informal get together and an opportunity for continued networking. Wednesday 5th September (Gala dinner) On the second night of conference the ASET Trustees will be hosting our 25th anniversary Gala Dinner in the fabulous GSK Winter Gardens (31 on the Campus map) within the Centre for Sustainable Chemistry at the University of Nottingham. We will meet at 6.45pm in the Winter Gardens for drinks and dinner will be served at 7.30pm. Delegates may wish to dress smartly for this special event. The Winter Gardens will be open to delegates until late, with a full selection of drinks available to purchase. 26 June 2018
Dietary, Access and Other Requirements If you have any dietary or access requirements, which you have not already indicated when you completed your booking online, please contact the ASET office by Friday August 10th to enable us to liaise with the venue to make your experience at conference as worry free as possible. Prayer Room There is a prayer room in the Amenities Building (11 on the Campus Map), opposite Business School South. Banking/Post There are two FREE Cashpoints on campus, located to the rear of the Exchange building (2 on the Campus Map), and within 5 minutes walk from Business School South. There is also a Postbox here. Shop The Students Union Campus (Spar) shop selling stationery and snacks, toiletries etc is also located in the Exchange Building (2 on the Campus Map), and will be open daily from 8.30am – 45.30pm. Sports Facilities The Jubilee Campus Sports Centre https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/sport/facilities/jubilee/index.aspx is open daily from 7am – 10pm (32 on the Campus Map) and has gym facilities which are free to use for ASET conference delegates. There are also squash and badminton courts which may be rented for a small hourly fee. Whilst there is no swimming pool on the Jubilee Campus, delegates are welcome to take the free Hopper bus to the University Park Campus to use the swimming pool and other facilities. The Jubilee Campus has extensive running routes and there are trails to the nearby 330 acre University Park Campus and to the 700 acre Wollaton Park. Internet Access WiFi access across campus is via eduroam. If you are already an eduroam user, you will be able to access WiFi with your Username and Password from your home university/college, provided your institution is an eduroam member. Before coming to conference, it is advisable to check that you know how to connect to eduroam at your home university/college and ensure you bring your access codes with you. If you are not currently an eduroam user, you will need a guest log in to access the WiFi. For this you will need to complete a form ahead of conference – please contact the ASET office to arrange this. 26 June 2018

The fare is £2.20 and it is only possible to pay by CASH. No change is given. By Car SATNAV code NG8 1BB will take you to the main entrance to the Jubilee Campus on Wollaton Road. There are electric charger points on campus. From the North Leave the M1 motorway at junction 26 and follow the A610 signposted to Nottingham. After approximately 2.5 miles turn right at lights onto the A6514 Nottingham ring road (Western Boulevard). Continue along Western Boulevard for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left onto the A609 Wollaton Road signposted to Nottingham City Centre, turn right into the entrance of Jubilee Campus. From the South Leave the M1 motorway at junction 25 and follow the A52 signposted to Nottingham. After approximately 4.4 miles take the second exit at the roundabout (Toby Carvery) continuing along the A52 Derby Road. At the next roundabout take the first exit onto the A6514 Middleton Boulevard. Taking the right hand lane at the traffic lights, turn right onto the A609 Wollaton Road signposted to Nottingham City Centre and turn immediately right into the entrance of Jubilee Campus. By Air The nearest airport is East Midlands from where you can take the skylink express which passes Jubilee Campus en route into Nottingham City Centre. Alight at the Queens Medical Centre on Derby Road, from where it is a 5 minute walk onto campus. Parking There is FREE parking on campus, but please note you will need to DISPLAY A PARKING PERMIT AT ALL TIMES – clampers are otherwise active on campus!! Parking permits (in PDF format) can be obtained from the ASET office ahead of conference. 26 June 2018
