The REALTORS® Association of Hamilton-Burlington (RAHB) is a real estate trade association based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. We have two important mandates: to promote the collective interests of our over 3,000 licensed members and champion property ownership by consumers. Complacency is not part of our culture, since we strive to continuously improve to meet the changing needs of our members and stakeholders. RAHB’s Vision, Mission, Values, Goals and Core Competencies guide the organization’s Board of Directors and staff in serving our members. RAHB’s vision statement indicates what our association strives to become, therefore guiding everything we do. VISION Our vision is to: Be the ultimate choice for REALTORS®. RAHB’s mission statement defines what our organization is, or in other words, our purpose. MISSION Our mission is: Empowering REALTORS® to Succeed. 1 RAHB Strategic Plan 2018-2020
Values are the fundamental beliefs and principles of RAHB. These values dictate our behaviour and help us determine the right path. They provide the filters that VALUES guide our internal conduct as well as our relationships with members and stakeholders. Strategic objectives are achieved by defining goals and executing strategies to achieve those goals. RAHB’s GOALS Board of Directors has agreed that the following strategies are most important to help support the success of our members. RAHB’s goals and strategies will be periodically revisited and updated to address the evolving needs of our members. Goals Strategies Increase Member Improve member education Professionalism Ensure Bylaw and MLS® Rules and Policies are clear and complete Enhance compliance Provide Comprehensive Seek to include all local listings by non-RAHB REALTORS® Local MLS® Related in our MLS® system Real Estate Market Data Include additional local information relevant to the sale of properties in our MLS® System Be Recognized as Assist members in being recognized as local real estate Local Real Estate market authorities Market Leaders Ensure RAHB is known as the voice for the overall local real estate market Publicize REALTOR® value Provide Enhanced Continuously improve all services Member Value Communicate effectively across all segments of RAHB membership Improve member engagement Achieve quorum at election and annual general meetings Grow members’ market area via mergers, acquisitions, alliances, partnerships and data sharing Strengthen relationships across the industry Leverage Relevant Identify relevant evolving trends Evolving Trends Determine how RAHB may best invest to assist members 5 RAHB Strategic Plan 2018-2020
Core competencies are RAHB’s key defining strengths and provide the foundation from which the association delivers CORE value to members. COMPETENCIES Of the many services RAHB provides to our members, three have been identified by members as most important: FACILITATE a Fair and Efficient Real Estate Marketplace PROVIDE Professional Development Opportunities LEAD Local Advocacy Service Delivery Model RAHB has a robust service delivery model that we refer to as MDSEE. This acronym stands for Member Development, Service, Engagement and Enablement, and encompasses everything the association does across all departments and services to fulfill our mission.
