THESPEAKERS Dominic Elfick Aviagen, Australia Dominic Elfick is International Product Manager for Aviagen. He has almost 25 years’ experience in the primary breeding industry. Initially working as a geneticist for Aviagen in Scotland and the USA; he eventually ran the US breeding and testing programs as Director of R&D. In his current role he works closely with R&D and field teams to provide analytical frameworks for tailored product improvement plans; improved understanding and benchmarking of commercial and developmental product performance; and provides recommendations for future product direction. Andrew Bourne Cobb, USA Andrew Bourne has many years of poultry experience beginning in the chicken industry in South Africa where he managed a number of broiler farms. He moved to the UK in 1999 and spent five years running a broiler contract business. He has a BS (Hons) & MBA from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. In 2005 Andrew joined the Cobb World Technical Support team based in the UK. He moved to the USA 10 years ago and is providing broiler and ventilation specialist advice to customers in South America & Asia. Aris Malo Boehringer Ingelheim, Germany Aris Malo gained his veterinary diploma from Universidade Federal do Paraná, Brazil in 1980 and his veterinary doctorate from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Hannover, Germany in 1987. In 2001 he was registered as a poultry specialist by the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands. From 1988 to 2012 he was Director of Global Technical Services for Intervet and since 2013 he has held a similar role at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health. Nick Dorko Aviagen, USA Nick Dorko is Aviagen’s Global Head of Veterinary Technical Services. After beginning his career at Perdue Farms as an associate veterinarian, Nick joined Arbor Acres in 1992. In 2002 he became Aviagen’s Regional Veterinary and Technical Services Manager in Asia. He holds a BS degree in agriculture and a DVM from the University of Tennessee, as well as a Master’s in avian medicine from the University of Georgia.
THESPEAKERS Jorge Villa Vinas HIPRA, Spain Jorge Villa Vinas gained his veterinary degree with a specialisation in livestock production from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, in 2004. He worked as a poultry practitioner in Spain with broiler, layer and layer breeders at farm and hatchery level from 2005 to 2011. He then joined HIPRA as Product Manager. In 2015 he became Regional Technical and Marketing Manager in Asia and he is currently based in the Philippines. Glenmer Tactacan Jefo, Canada Glenmer Tactacan received his Bachelor’s (1995) and Master’s degree (2001) in Animal Science at the University of the Philippines Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines. In 2011 he gained his PhD from the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg. His experience involves the management of up to date tools to improve poultry nutrition and health. He is presently working with Jefo Nutrition as part of the company’s R&D and international technical service team. Choew Kong Mah Zoetis International, China Choew Kong (CK) Mah obtained his DVM from UPM in 1996 and started his veterinary career in Bayer Malaysia. In 2000 he joined Elanco where he gained international marketing and technical services experience. Since 2013 CK has worked for Zoetis and is now the International Operations Outcomes Research Director. He leads Zoetis’ efforts in demonstrating to customers the value of their products across all species. Miren Arbe Ceva, Spain After graduating from the University of Zaragoza in Spain in 2008, Miren started in veterinary service at a Spanish poultry integrator. In 2010 she joined Ceva Animal Health and, since then, has held different national and regional positions relating to hatchery vaccination and in ovo vaccination services. Since 2015, Miren has held the position of Vaccination Services & Equipment Department Corporate Manager.
THESPEAKERS Olivier Leon Hubbard SAS, France Dr Olivier Leon is a specialised poultry veterinarian and has worked for Hubbard since 2013. He is responsible for the design and implementation of Hubbard’s animal health strategy, as well as assisting clients worldwide in health issues management. Alvin Arucan Cobb, The Philippines Dr Alvin P Arucan gained his veterinary degree from Central Luzon State University in the Philippines and has worked in the poultry industry for over 24 years. He joined Cobb-Vantress Inc in 2009 as regional technical manager and he mainly serviced grandparent and parent stock breeders’ customers and distributors in Asia. Previously he held technical positions in Vitarich, PT Sierad Produce and PT Galur Prima Cobbindo.
