  1. Read this poem about the picture:

                         Stuck in My Miniature Red Car

                      I was stuck in my miniature red car,
                     My miniature red car shivered in fear.
                    The tarred road quivered and trembled.

                     I was stuck in my miniature red car,
                The angry tectonic plates clapped their hands.
               And the frightened earth coughed up its insides.

  2. Write the next two verses in the earthquake poem.
       • Reflect on the houses and the sky for ideas.
       • Include descriptive words.

       • Start each line with a capital letter.
       • Read your completed poem aloud.
