Opening Hymn – “10,000 Reasons”
Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

The sun comes up it’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing your song again
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

You’re rich in love and you’re slow to anger
Your name is great and your heart is kind
For all your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find

Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore

Bless the Lord O my soul
O my soul
Worship his holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship your holy name
Opening Prayers

Although we have come together in digital space,
we each stand in place on solid ground that is the
ancestral territory of peoples who were here long
before the Europeans crossed the ocean. I live in
the City of Ottawa which is located on the unceded
territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabeg people.
On whose territory do you live?

Collect of the Day
Holy and immortal God,
as we enter into this holy week
turn our hearts to Jerusalem,
so that, united with Christ and all the faithful,
we may enter the city not made with hands,
your promised realm of justice and peace,
eternal from age to age.
Amen.

Psalm 118:1-2,19-16 Psaume 118:1-2,19-16
Give thanks to the Lord who is good; Rendez grâce au Seigneur : Il est bon !
the mercy of the Lord endures for ever. Éternel est son amour !
Let Israel now proclaim, Oui, que le dise Israël :
“The mercy of the Lord endures for ever.” Éternel est son amour !
Open for me the gates of righteousness; Ouvrez-moi les portes de justice :
I will enter them; I will offer thanks to the Lord. j’entrerai, je rendrai grâce au Seigneur.
“This is the gate of the Lord; C’est ici la porte du Seigneur :
those who are righteous may enter.” qu’ils entrent, les justes ! »
I will give thanks to the Lord who answered me Je te rends grâce car tu m’as exaucé :
and has become my salvation. tu es pour moi le salut.
The same stone which the builders rejected La pierre qu’ont rejetée les bâtisseurs
has become the chief cornerstone. est devenue la pierre d’angle :
This is the Lord’s doing, c’est là l’oeuvre du Seigneur,
and it is marvellous in our eyes. la merveille devant nos yeux.
On this day the Lord has acted; Voici le jour que fit le Seigneur,
we will rejoice and be glad in it. qu’il soit pour nous jour de fête et de joie !
Hosannah, Lord, hosannah! Donne, Seigneur, donne le salut !
Lord, send us now success. Donne, Seigneur, donne la victoire !
Blessed is the one who comes Béni soit au nom du Seigneur celui qui vient !
in the name of the Lord; De la maison du Seigneur,
we bless you from the house of the Lord. nous vous bénissons !

A Blessing for the Journey of Holy Week

“All Glory, Laud, and Honour”
All glory, laud, and honour
to you Redeemer, king,
to whom the lips of children
made sweet hosannahs ring.

You are the King of Israel
and David’s royal Son,
now in the Lord’s name coming,
our King and Blessed One.

All glory, laud, and honour
to you Redeemer, king,
to whom the lips of children
made sweet hosannahs ring.

The multitude of pilgrims
with palms before you went;
our praise and prayer and anthems
before you we present.

All glory, laud, and honour
to you Redeemer, king,
to whom the lips of children
made sweet hosannahs ring.

There’s a man riding in on a donkey,
there’s a man, and they say he’s king!

Sing hosanna to the King of kings!
Sing hosanna! Sing hosanna!
Sing hosanna to the King!
Why a king riding in on a donkey?
Why a king wearing no fine crown?
Where the drums?
Where the high-sounding cymbals
if a king is riding into town?
Sing hosanna! Sing hosanna!
Sing hosanna to the King of kings!
Sing hosanna! Sing hosanna!
Sing hosanna to the King!
Hear the voice of the King on a donkey!
Hear the joy of the news he brings!
He is Jesus, the Son of the Highest.
He is Jesus and the King of kings.
Sing hosanna! Sing hosanna!
Sing hosanna to the King of kings!

Sing hosanna to the King!

Prayers of the People la Prière des fidèles

The Lord’s Prayer la Prière du Seigneur
Gathering our prayers and praises into one,
let us pray as our Saviour taught us,
Our Mother, our Father in heaven, Notre Mère, notre Père qui es aux cieux,
hallowed be your name, Que ton nom soit sanctifié,
your kingdom come, your will be done, Que ton règne vienne, que ta volonté soit faite
on earth as in heaven. sur la terre comme au ciel.
Give us today our daily bread. Donne-nous aujourd’hui notre pain de ce jour.
Forgive us our sins Pardonne-nous nos offences comme nous
as we forgive those who sin against us. pardonnons aussi à ceux qui nous ont offensés.
Save us from the time of trial Et ne nous soumets pas à la tentation,
and deliver us from evil. mais délivre-nous du mal, car c’est à toi
For the kingdom, the power, qu’appartiennent le règne, la puissance et la

“Amazing Grace”
Amazing grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

“Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun;
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’ve first begun.

Dismissal
Go in peace to love and serve the Lord Allez en paix, aimez et servez le Seigneur
Thanks be to God Nous rendons grâce à Dieu.
