Birthing Kits Assembly Evening with Rotary Changes from clearway to no standing zone on Nottage Terrace The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure will be removing the existing clearway in the westbound lanes on Nottage Terrace between North East Road and Main North Road, as part of Keeping Metro Traffic Moving (KMTM). A no standing zone at all times will replace the clearway in this location. Existing parking on the east bound lanes and indented parking on east and west bound lanes will remain unchanged. Installation of signs indicating the new no standing zone at this location are anticipated to commence in mid-May and are expected to be completed by end of June 2019, weather permitting. The new hours of operation will be as follows: • Clearway city bound: 7am – 10am Monday to Friday • Clearway outbound: 3pm – 7pm Monday to Friday For further information please visit http://www.dpti.sa.gov.au/movingtraffic
City of Adelaide Federal Election Breakfast Australians will soon go to the polls on 18 May to vote for the next Federal Government. While it is impossible to determine the exact outcome of the election, we already know the recently recast Federal seat of Adelaide will have a new member as the incumbent, the Hon Kate Ellis MP, will not be recontesting the election. Whether you’re a resident, worker, business owner, visitor or student in the electorate of Adelaide, this is your opportunity to learn about your local Federal candidates, who will speak to their party platforms and their vision for Adelaide. You will then be given an opportunity to ask questions of the candidates in a “Q&A” forum afterwards. 2 May, 7am – 9am Tickets $10-$100 Click HERE book your ticket for this event. May Council Meeting The ordinary meeting of Council will be held on Monday 20 May 2019 at 7pm in the Council Chambers, 66 Walkerville Tce. Members of the public are welcome to attend.
Assets & Infrastructure Capital Works Update The following is an update on capital work projects that are currently being undertaken within the township. Willow Bend Bridge Abutments Work has been completed on repairs to the bridge abutments at Willow Bend. The bridge is currently closed for work on the Norwood Payneham St Peters side. Our works involve new gabion basket walls to realign the bank under the bridge. Stormwater outlet will also be repaired. Lansdowne Tce stormwater & road project update Work is now complete for roadworks and drainage works on this long running project (more than a year since commencement).
Landscape works will then occur over the coming month. River Torrens Linear Path (RTLP) lighting update. New light posts will be erected from Ascot Ave through to Fuller Street in the next two weeks. Work continues along the river. Way2Go and Vale Park Primary School Emu Crossing DPTI has been working in collaboration with Vale Park Primary School and Council and constructed a new Emu in Tonkin Street in late 2018. The project involved a series of workshops between with the school, DPTI and Council.
