1. Introduction
The Ministry of Civil Aviation, Airports Authority of India (AAI) and Federation of
Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) jointly organised Wings India
2022 from 24th – 27th March 2022, Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad, India.

It is Asia’s largest event on Civil Aviation (Commercial, General and Business
Aviation).

As part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, the theme of the event is “India@75:
New Horizon for Aviation Industry”. The focus of the event was new business
acquisition, investments, policy formation, and regional connectivity.

2. History
The Indian Civil Aviation Air show is a biennial air show held in Hyderabad, India
at the Begumpet Airport. The first show, India Aviation 2008, was held from 15 to
18 October 2008.

Begumpet airport was closed for regular commercial operations and is now used
only for private, defence and VVIP aircraft ever since the new Rajiv Gandhi
International Airport at Shamshabad, Hyderabad became operational. Hyderabad
will be a permanent venue for this Air show.

The show includes both air displays and static exhibitions of various Civil and
Military aircraft, along with displays from vendors, suppliers and production
organisations.

The aircraft, which were on static or flying display, include Boeing 777, Airbus
A340-400, Canadian Regional Jet of Bombardier Citation, business jets
manufactured by various global leaders, Bell Helicopters, DragonFly, Cessna,
Indian-made Pushpak and Indian firm Hindavia’s Russian-made regional aircraft
Ilyushin Il-114.

3. Briefing
A DETAILED BRIEFING WILL BE HELD 1HR (10:00Z) PRIOR TO
THE EVENT TO CLEAR ALL THE DOUBTS ON THE IVAO SO
OFFICIAL DISCORD.

4. Mission Description
    The event will be as follows,
       o Arrival of Display Aircrafts. – NO SO POINTS
       o Arrival of VVIPs (Air Force Chief/Air Force representative/Ministers etc). at
           Rajiv Gandhi International Airports (VOHS) – 2 SO Points
       o The air display will be held at Begumpet Airport (VOHY). – 2 SO POINTS
       o This will follow the departures just after the event. - NO SO POINTS
       o Begumpet Airport has been divided into two parts, Northern ramp will be for
           Military Aircraft display, while Southern ramp will be for Civil Aircraft
           Display. The parking positions will be assigned prior to the event.

                          Part – 1 Arrivals
  Aircraft – Arrival of Civil/Military Fixed/Rotary Wing Aircraft for
   Static and Air Display.
 • Arrival Airport – Begumpet Airport (VOHY)
 • Date – 04th June 2022
 • Arrival time – 10:00Z – 12:00Z
 • Flight rules – IFR
 • Pilots may arrive on the event day (05th June 2022) as well, however
   the airport will be closed for arrivals 30 min (10:30Z) prior to the
   Air Display.
 • Pilots may directly spawn at the assigned parking position for
   Static/Air Display. However, pilots who remain parked for static
   display will not get SO Points.

• Recommended Aircrafts – E195 E2 Profit hunter, A350, Dornier,
    Airbus MPA, A330-900neo however you are free to choose any
    aircraft you wish.
   Aircraft – VIP Aircraft
       o Arrival of VIPs like Ministers / Air Force Chief / Air Force
         Representatives in order to visit the event so that they can
         analyse the aircrafts to be purchased for the
         Government/Military.
       o Date – 05th June 2022
       o Arrival time – 11:00Z - 12:00Z
       o Airport – VOHS (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport,
         Hyderabad)
       o Flight rules – IFR
  ✓ Pilots who want to watch the event are also invited, however their
    aircrafts (GENERAL AVIATION AIRCRAFT) must be parked in
    the Yellow Area and they must arrive 1 hour (till 10:00Z) prior to
    the event. They will not be issued any SO Points.

                   Part – 2 Air Display
The air display will start at 1200Z on 5th June 2022.

   Guidelines: -
  1. Pilots must be registered for the event for Air Display or being
     parked for static display.
  2. Pilots who do not perform Air Display will not get SO points.
  3. All arrivals and departures will be stopped 30 minutes prior to
     display.
  4. Temporary restricted airspace will be established for this event
     and it will be used for display.

 Display
  1. Display can be solo or in formation. Formations must register.
  2. Each display will be assigned a 10 min display slot and the slot
     start time is their take-off time. They must land before the end of
     their display slot.
  3. They must be within the display box.
  4. After the display is complete, they must report to the controller to
     receive their landing clearance.
  5. Pilots must be above the display minima.
  6. List of pilots will be released on official IVAO SO Discord before
     the event.
  7. Display aircraft will remain on Tower Frequency for their display.

Temporary restricted Airspace (TRA) will be established for use as the display box for this
Event and is under the authority of Begumpet Airport Tower controller (or controller
responsible for the Tower duties).

                             Part 3: Demo to VVIPs
      1. Pilots who want to give a ride to VVIPs as part of showing aircraft
         capabilities will also be entertained.
      2. They must mention this in the registration.
      3. They can Take-off meanwhile the display is going and the VFR
         route must be submitted.
      4. Only “Tandem Config cockpit aircrafts”/or any type of
         Helicopter is allowed.
      5. This flight must be done within VOR-186E Hakimpet
