What are the responsibilities of the liquidator of a succession? You can find the answers to those questions in this guide, which provides information on what to do when someone dies. The information is presented in the following order: y First steps that need to be taken y Steps relating to financial assistance for survivors y Steps relating to liquidation of the succession The guide also indicates how to contact government departments and bodies in order to apply for pensions, survivors’ benefits and indemnities. At the end of the guide, you will find a checklist of what to do when someone dies as well as a list of definitions. Although the guide provides legal information, it does not cover exceptions and does not replace wise counsel from a notary or lawyer.
