Honors Program Requirements ■ To be recognized as an Honor graduate, students must have a total of 28 credits of which a minimum of 15 must be Honors/DE/Gifted courses. ■ Additionally, 10 of the 15 Honors/DE/Gifted credits must be in the academic areas of English, Math, Social Studies or Science.
Valedictorian Requirements ■ The valedictorian will be the Honor Program graduate with the highest weighted cumulative grade point average. The valedictorian will give the commencement address. ■ The salutatorian will be the Honor Program graduate with the second highest weighted cumulative grade point average. The salutatorian will give the welcome address. ■ In the event of a tie for valedictorian, co-valedictorians will be named and share the responsibility of the commencement address. Additionally, no salutatorian will be named and the welcome address will be given by the student with the next highest weighted cumulative grade point average.
Dual Enrollment ■ Student receives both high school and college credit ■ ACT score minimums: Math 19 English 18 Composite 19 ■ GPA: 2.5 ■ Must adhere to university policies and do not have access to Iberia Parish’s recovery programs ■ There is a cost of tuition for each course—Iberia Parish will fund one Math or one English course for all enrolled students. Additional courses are the financial responsibility of students and their parents. Students will not be allowed to enroll in a course for which they have not paid, per the Dual Enrollment contract. The deadline will be announced when the contract is finalized. Tuition may be due prior to the start of the 20-21 school year.

Jumpstart Diploma Core Requirements 4 Units of English: 4 Units of Math: ■ English I ■ Algebra I ■ English II ■ 3 Units from the following: – Math Essentials ■ 2 Units from the following: – Business Math – Technical Writing – Financial Literature – Business English – Geometry – English III – Algebra II – English IV – Algebra III
Jumpstart Diploma Core Requirements 2 Units of Science: 2 Units of Social Studies: ■ Biology ■ Government ■ 1 Unit from the following: ■ US History – Environmental Science – Physical Science
Jumpstart Diploma Health and Physical Education Requirements ■ PE I (1 unit) ■ Health (½ unit) ■ ½ unit from the following: – PE II (1/2 unit) – Marching Band (1/2 unit)
Jumpstart Diploma Elective Requirements ■ Nine Elective Units as determined by the pathway selected by the student. – Including at least one Career Readiness Course (one Carnegie credit) ■ An Industry Based Credential must be earned. Either: – One Statewide Industry Based Credential or – One Core Industry Based Credential and two complementary Industry Based Credentials Total Units = 23
