2021 WZ AGE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIPS
AUGUST 4 – 7, 2021

   Co-Hosted By Inland Empire Swimming & Snake River Swimming

   Original Host Site – Mt Hood Aquatic Center, Gresham OR
        No longer available – facility decision to not host events this summer

   NEW Host Site – LISD Westside Aquatic Center, Lewisville TX
        Owned & operated by the Lewisville Integrated School District, in
         the greater Dallas TX area

         •   One-time COVID athlete surcharge to assist with
             supporting Officials travel to the meet
         •   Facility Cost 2021 will be significantly less than 2019

             excellent return to Zone competition

   Summary of COVID-related adjustments
        Cap of athlete participation at est 500:
          •   Two larger LSCs not participating this year
          •   Most LSCs sending smaller numbers of athletes than in "normal" years
          •   Reductions have already put the size of the meet at est 500 athletes.
        No spectators at prelims – YES to limited numbers at finals
        All relays held in prelims & only individual events in finals.
        One-time COVID athlete surcharge to support the travel and training of our Officials at
         this event

   Next Steps:
        Work will begin ASAP on Sanctioned Meet Announcement and other time-sensitive information
        All updates will initially be posted on the WZ website

2021 WZ SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
JULY 27 – 31, 2021
   Hosted By Clovis Swim Club, Clovis CA
   Host Club UPDATE
   The California Department of Public Health issued guidance on April 6, 2021 permitting meets to occur
    only with other teams within the state. However, the state of California will fully re-open its economy
    by June 15 if two criteria are met: 1. If vaccine supply is sufficient for Californians 16 years and older
    who wish to be inoculated, and 2. If hospitalization rates are stable and low. There is every indication
    that those targets will be met. Clovis Swim Club is fully committed to hosting the Western Zone
    Senior Championship meet at this time and expects to be able to host out-of-state teams in July
    for this event. CSC will resubmit the meet information to CUSD, the Fresno County Health
    Department, and Central California Swimming on Monday, May 3, 2021, to reflect the condition that the
    state’s economy has been re-opened and the out of state restriction has been lifted. With that in the
    meet information, we expect a sanctioned document that can be released within 7-10 days. CSC does
    advise all teams to refrain from purchasing non-refundable airfare until the re-opening conditions have
    been met.

2021 WZ DEI SELECT CAMP & SUMMIT
NEW DATE: AUGUST 14, 2021

  This opportunity is for everyone - we want to have all come to this event!

   Camp & Summit will be virtual
   Cost $35 for non-athletes, $15 for athletes.
   4 athletes and 4 non-athletes from each LSC.
   New application process will be available ASAP.

MARCH 30 – APRIL 2, 2022 * ST GEORGE, UT

   Inspired by success of 2021 April Sectional Meet in St George, UT to add an
    additional spring championship opportunity that targets our Senior Zone-level
    athletes

   NEW Facility: Dixie State University Human Performance Center

   YEAR 1 Highlights
        2021 WZ Senior Championship Time Standards (inc Bonus Events)
        Year 1 ONLY: No De-qual Time Standards to assist with successful first year of event
        Year 1 Meet Size – est 600

2021 CA/NV LC SPEEDO SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
