Our family moved to Westhaven when Addie Mae was just 3
months old! This summer she will turn 9! She is a complete
athlete and has a determination and drive that is so inspiring!
She loves her family and Jesus and is the most thoughtful child.
She loves with her words! She writes the sweetest notes for her
dad and I and always compliments strangers when we are out and
about. She enjoys playing soccer, riding her bike, coloring and
climbing trees! She has had a wonderful 9 years in this com-
munity from dance classes as a little 2-year-old to Witchhaven
Haunted Houses, to fishing at the pond and taking out her own
paddleboard on hot summer days!
Bryce is 2 years old and he couldn’t love living in Westhaven
more if he tried! This is the ultimate neighborhood for a little boy SACS Accredited, College Preparatory,
who only thinks about trucks, trucks and more trucks! We love to Independent Christian School serving grades 5-12

What college did you attend? We both attended San Diego
State University.
Family
Where are you originally from? We are both from Southern
California, about an hour north of San Diego. Caroline grew up in
Murrieta, and Daniel grew up in Fallbrook.
Tell us a little about your story of how you guys met and came to
be a family- We met in college at a Halloween party, which is kind
of funny because we definitely lean towards being homebodies.
We both reluctantly attended this party and I’d say it was worth
it! Daniel proposed roughly two years later on Christmas Eve of
our senior year and we were married the summer after gradua-
tion. Daniel was in the Air Force ROTC program at SDSU so after
we were married we moved to Patrick Air Force Base in Florida.
We spent three years there where he worked as an engineer on
the Atlas V rocket. We returned to Los Angeles Air Force Base
for two years before he decided to get out of the Air Force. We
were expecting our first child (first grandchild on both sides of
our family) when we disappointed both of our parents by decid-
ing to leave California and move to Tennessee after Daniel was
offered a consulting job here.
How long have you lived in Westhaven? We moved to Westhaven in
2013 and welcomed our daughter Nora Marie that November. In July
of 2017 we welcomed our son Warner Michael. We are so grateful
we get to raise our children in this beautiful place. It’s a dream!

Tell us about your kids? Nora is a first grader at Pearre Creek. She loves playing
tennis here in the neighborhood with Coach Emily and Coach Joyce! She
also enjoys golf like her daddy and has taken many golf classes at The Little
Course. Warner loves his mommy-and-me tennis classes with Caroline that
Harris Life Training also offers. It is the sweetest class and they have really
enjoyed attending it over the years! Warner is also looking forward to taking
golf classes like Nora when he is old enough. Santa brought him a yellow putter
for Christmas and he can’t wait to use it on the green.
Any family traditions? We love taking Nora and Warner to the Franktown
Festival of lights every Christmas! We love watching their faces light up seeing

the beautiful light displays. Daniel serves on the board there and we can’t
say enough good things about this amazing organization. We also love visiting PORCH
Cheekwood in the Fall and at Christmastime. Watching Home Alone at the
Nashville Symphony has become a favorite Christmas tradition as well. We
also love our time at Gentry’s every Fall…watching the kids swing on a tire

swing and pick pumpkins off the vine is just priceless.
Best part about living in Westhaven? We love the walkability of this neighbor-
hood. We love walking around the lake with the kids on their bikes/scooters PHOTO BY

and stopping to watch the birds or the turtles. Walking to get ice cream at
Sweethaven or walking to pick up Oscar’s for dinner. Our MOST favorite part

nicest people. I think people feel blessed to live in this place so the sense of
community is strong.
Favorite Restaurants? Oscar’s, Mojo’s, The Coffee House, The Dotted Lime,
Burger Up, Casa Jose, Soy Bistro, True Food Kitchen, Avo, The Red Pony, and
Pinewood Kitchen (it’s a drive but it’s worth it).
Vacation Destinations? Dubai, Tuscany, Bora Bora, the Maldives. Just kidding,
we’ve never been to any of those places. Starting two businesses in the past few
years doesn’t leave much time for fancy vacations, but we have enjoyed visiting
Charleston and Savannah, and we love Lake Oconee. Most of our “vacation”
time is spent back in California visiting family and friends!
Favorite Sports Teams? Daniel continues to cheer for all SDSU sports (Go
Aztecs!). Our daughter Nora took a serious interest in the Titans this season
and has inspired us all to become more dedicated fans. We now all have game
day apparel including Stanley.
Favorite TV Shows/Movies? The Crown, Ozark, Outlander, Hometown, Chrisley
Knows Best, Superstore
Favorite Music? Christian and Country music! We love JJ Heller!
Favorite Family Dinner? Cauliflower tacos in the air fryer!

over and picked up the chicken. As he was carrying the chicken in
his arms, Franklin decided to take a cheap shot and bite the poor
chicken right on the butt!! I guess it looked too good to resist!
