Enrolment Management Plan
• Elanora State High School has an enrolment management plan.
• All EMP details can be found on the ESHS website.
• Siblings of current students must have concurrent enrolment eg Year 7
  2022, Year 12 2022.
• A non-refundable processing fee of $60 applies to all out of catchment
  enrolment applications.
• Catchment area of ESHS – link is available on our website.
• Our schools current capacity is 1247 – approx. 200 per year level – current
  Year 7 enrolment is 208

ACE Program – Overview
• ACE – Academic Class of Excellence.
• ACE Program – Year 7, 8 and 9
• Selective Entry Process – students must meet set standards to gain
  entry.
• Academic Extension program focusing on challenging the individual to
  achieve their best in all of their subjects.

ACE Program – How to apply.
• To apply for the ACE program, applicants are required to submit the
  application form and successfully complete the entrance test –
  register tonight.
• Key criteria for entry into the program

 There is no fee to apply for in-catchment students
ACE Program - Testing
• All applicants must register online for Testing via the Elanora SHS website.
• If applicants do not have access to the internet, registration can be completed via our
  school office.
• ACE testing will be held on Tuesday March 16 at 3:30 – 5.00pm at Elanora SHS, meet at
  The Hub.
• ACE testing for XCELerate participants will also be held on this day.
• The test will be an online General Aptitude Test prepared by ACER that is year level
  specific.
• The testing process will take approximately 1 hour. A light afternoon tea will be provided.
Sports & Health Science Academy Program - Overview
• The program is not sport specific but Athlete specific.
• Established link with Southern Cross University – direct program linkages in the area of Exercise
  Sports Science.
• A clear pathway and great preparation for a post school Sports or Health Science career.
• Students are offered a rigorous and extensive Physical Education program and involvement in a
  range of extracurricular activities both on and off campus.
• Students will be exposed to a range of different career opportunities through guest speakers,
  coaches, dieticians and personal trainers all with specialist expertise in the sporting industry.
• Kayaking specialisation program – additional opportunity.
Sports & Health Science - How to apply.
• To apply for the Junior Sports & Health Science program, applicants are required to submit the
   application form and successfully complete the practical testing.
Key criteria for entry :
 Students MUST be playing or involved in community sport and be prepared to represent the
   school in inter-school sport.

Sports & Health Science– Testing

• Sports Academy testing will be held on Thursday May 6 at 3:30 – 6. 30pm at
  Elanora SHS.
• A short interview will also be held on the day.
• The testing process will take approx. 2 ½ hours.
Junior Dance Academy
Dance Academy Program - Overview
• Students will focus on the styles of Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary and
  Lyrical dance over the year long course.
• Movement, performance skills and choreographic skills and
  terminology will be the focus in each dance genre.
• Throughout the year, students will have access to various performance
  opportunities both within class and for an audience including the Gold
  Coast Eisteddfod and Elanora State High School’s Dance Night.
Dance Academy Program – Testing
• All applicants must register online for testing via the Elanora SHS website.
• Students must also submit a completed application form – due Monday April 26
  at the office.
• Junior Dance Academy screening will be held on Tuesday May 11 at 3:30 – 5.30
  pm at Elanora SHS.
• Students will not need to prepare an audition piece.
• The audition process will take approx. 2 hours.
Notifications
• Offers will be made for places in the 3 excellence programs following the first round of testing.
• First Round Offers for ACE, Junior Sports Academy and Dance Academy will commence from Friday
  May 21.
• To maximise opportunities for a broader range of students, Sports & ACE will not be offered in
  2022 as combined programs.
• Students will need to preference between Sports & ACE program, only one program offer will be
  made in the first round.
• If places exist in programs following the First Round Offers additional testing will occur in Term 3,
  2021.
Scholarships
Scholarship and Excellence program application form is one and the same.

Scholarships - Overview
• Elanora SHS provides scholarships for high performing Year 7
  students in the areas of :
• Academic – must sit ACE Test on March 16
• Sports
• The Arts
Scholarships - Overview
• Scholarships cover the Elanora SHS Resource Scheme for Year 7
  2022.
• Sport scholarships include the Sports Academy Resource Fee.
• Arts scholarships include the Dance Academy Resource Fee.
 The scholarships do not cover the cost of optional excursions.
Scholarships - QATSIF
• Elanora SHS supports Indigenous
  students through replicating QATSIF
  scholarships through the junior school
  leading into the Queensland Government
  funded QATSIF Scholarships.
• Eligibility criteria include attendance and
  academic performance.
• Available from Year 8 onwards.
Scholarships – How to apply
• To apply for a scholarship, applicants simply tick the box on the Excellence
  Program Application Form.
• There is no separate testing nor application forms for scholarships.

Scholarships – Notifications
• Scholarship offers will be made in writing from Friday May 21.
• Successful scholarship applicants will be required to accept
  scholarship offers in writing and then arrange enrolment in Elanora
  SHS.
• Following the enrolment interview credit will be made for the 2022
  Resource Scheme and relevant fees.
Enrolment Process for Elanora SHS
• All students and parents enrolling at Elanora SHS have an enrolment
  interview with the school administration.
• Options – Individual or Group – Parents choice
• Enrolment interviews for Year 7 2022 will commence in Term 2, 2021
  with those students offered places in Excellence Programs and
  successful scholarship recipients.
• Bookings for Year 7, 2022 enrolment will be able to be made via the
  school website or by contacting the school office.
Upcoming Events and Orientation Program
• The Year 7 Open Night will take place on Tuesday 30th March.
• Sport & Health Science students will be invited to participate orientation activities in
  Term 3 with current Academy students.
• Upon completion of enrolment interviews students will receive an invitation to our
  Term 4 Orientation Day.
• Both local high schools will host our Orientation Day on the same day in 2021 – last
  Monday of the school year – December 6.
• All Year 7 2022 students will commence Week 1 2022 with O Week – a full week of
  orientation activities.
