Specials 11:20A-12:05 P.M. ◼ Physical Education ◼ Art ◼ Music ◼ METI - Media and Educational Technology Integration The students get grades based on participation and performance. Any concerns with these grades are to be directed to the special area teacher.
EIP EIP Eligibility for Placement Criteria for 3rd Grade Students that perform below level on diagnostic testing: ✓ End of the Year Fast Bridge Assessment ✓ BAS ✓ Sight Word List / Words Their Way ✓ EIP Rubric ✓ Teacher Recommendation The purpose of EIP is to support students who may have gaps in the areas of reading and math. It is aimed towards students receiving extra support in order to be successful with on grade level curriculum. Goal: to help students reach grade level performance in order to exit out of EIP
Grading Weights Make Up/Redo Policy -Major: 55% If the student receives a failing -Minor: 40% grade on a major assignment, -Practice: 5% they are given ONE opportunity to redo the assignment. • Grading Policy The highest a student can get on • 90 – 100 A a redo is a 79. • 80 - 89 B • 70 - 79 C • 0 - 69 F • I- Incomplete (less than 80% of assignments were completed)
Agenda & Communications Folder • 1 for every student • Used for daily communication between teacher and parent • Agendas and communication folder should be returned to school daily • Student copies homework assignment in their agendas • Communications folder is used to send and receive important documents between home and school • Newsletter will be sent out at the beginning of each new week.
Homework Policy • Review daily subject content/ resources from class. • Homework for Math and Reading will be sent home on Monday, and it will be due Friday.
Assessments’ Plan • iReady Diagnostics (given 3x a year- Sept., Jan., May) • WriteScore (Nov.- Dec.) • BAS (Sept/Dec./ May) • GMAS (Apr.) • Unit Tests given for all subjects
Virtual Conference Dates/Sign-up • Please ask your child’s teacher about how-to sign-up for a virtual conference • Conferences will be held via phone or Teams
