We have been hosting weddings at Fort Denison since 2006
and we know exactly what it takes to bring all of these
elements together successfully.
Your extra special day is one that takes months of planning

for you on your very special day.
Located in Sydney Harbour just 5 minutes from Circular Quay by
charter ferry or water taxi, the island offers you and your guests
stunning 360 degree views around the city, incorporating the iconic
landmarks at the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Some comments from our happy couples…. I just want to say a massive THANK YOU for everything you did for our wedding. It was such an amazing night - rain or no rain - and I know that the Fort just blew the guests away. It was such a magical experience that unfortunately, went by way too quick! Also thank you for getting the marquee set up for the ceremony, I know the rain threw things out a bit, but it was so beautiful inside and it just worked so well. It really felt intimate. And the guests just loved it. Morgan & Brendan Firstly I wanted to thank you and your staff for helping to make our day so spectacular. The Fort looked amazing and we were thrilled by the ambiance, table decorations and setting. The evening really was perfect and the food was spectacular. Please do thank your chefs for a truly memorable meal. Many of my friends who are real foodies have said the fish was the best they've ever had!!! Some facts to know for your wedding at Fort Denison: Commencement time for your wedding reception 6.30pm Ceremony commencement time if you are being married at Fort Denison 6.00pm Marquee capacity Formal sit down dinner 200 with dance floor 170 Cocktail reception 230 with dance floor 230 Venue inclusions An all-weather marquee located on the northern side of the island. Lighting of the marquee roof Jetty, forecourt and Battery Lawn lighting 3 phase power distribution box Rectangular banquet tables with white linen to seat 10 guests and black chairs Table appointments Water transport for you and your guests We will arrange for your charter ferry to bring you and your guests to and from Fort Denison from Circular Quay Can the bridal party arrive/depart by our own boat? In special circumstances private yachts can be approved to dock briefly at Fort Denison to drop off the bridal party. Guests are only permitted to arrive by an approved charter ferry Duration of your reception We recommend a 5 hour duration (generally from 6:30-11:30pm) Please enquire with your wedding co-ordinator about earlier or later times Can we BYO? As Fort Denison is fully licensed this is not permitted Dietary Requirements Should you require special meals for any of your guests please check with your Wedding Coordinator about suitable menu choices Children’s Meals Children’s meals can be provided. Included is main course, dessert and soft drinks throughout the evening (applicable for children under 12 yrs) Service Meals A meal & soft drinks will be supplied for your photographer/videographer, band members and other vendors such as AV operators at a cost of $50 per person. Alcoholic beverages can be supplied at an additional charge subject to your approval Can we bring in our own suppliers such as florists, wedding stylists and band? Yes of course. However we do work with the best in Sydney and would be happy to provide further details once your wedding is confirmed with us How do we organise to deliver our cake, flowers, and any other items for our wedding Our competent team is happy to arrange and coordinate transport for your wedding cake, florals, and will to bring all of these items across to the island for you on the day of your wedding. How does our band come to Fort Denison and at what time Your band will generally travel to the island on pre booked water transport at 4.45pm Fort Denison confirmation policy Please note all dates are unsecured without payment of a 25% deposit and signed Event documents, terms and conditions. Your wedding co-ordinator will be happy to guide you through this process
