        Wedding Packages and Policies

Up to 3 factors may determine your overall cost outlay
              at The Melange. These are:

               Rental of Guest Rooms,
           Rental of Special Event Settings,
                      Catering.

Rental of Guest Rooms:

The Melange has 6 guest rooms upscale appointments.
4 are king rooms and 2 are suites, each with 2-bedrooms
and ideally suited for families, (one suite with 1 king and 1
queen, the other with 1 king and 2 doubles).

When the wedding reception falls on a Saturday late
afternoon or evening and there are more than 40
attendees, you (or your guests) will be required to rent all
the guest rooms for a minimum of 2-nights (3- during
October -November weekends and Holidays). You then
have the historic mansion, exclusively for yourselves! With
wedding ceremonies or rehearsal dinners, champagne
brunches,.. only, then rental of guest rooms is optional.

Special rate for the rental of all guest rooms for 2-nights is
$3500 (and $5000 for 3-nights), including artisan breakfast.

Rental of Special Event Settings:

Our indoor and outdoor Settings may host from the most
intimate elopement to weddings, rehearsal dinners and
champagne brunches with 100+ guests.

The rental of a setting(s) for your special event (like wedding
ceremony or rehearsal dinner or reception only or brunch,
or where events are hosted all weekend long) will be priced
individually. Your guest size will affect the cost. Please
contact the inn for a customized offer.

Special rate for exclusive use of all settings on a weekend is
$4500, all-inclusive, ($5000 for 3-day holidays). Included are
vintage wrought iron chairs and tables, spandex chair
covers, table linens and skirting, table top props, customized
satellite stations, WiFi and streamed music from our system,
all clean-up…). Enjoy separate settings for the ceremony,
cocktail hour and the reception.

Catering : In-House up to 40 Guests

Our kitchen will wow you with international flavors (menu).
Special dietary preferences may be accommodated.
Choose between Formal Buffet or Plated serving options,
including the wedding cake. Cost per person will depend
on your menu. Included will be upscale china, silver and
glassware and all professional services.

Catering: by a Third Party
    (for Special Events with more than 40 Guests)

A health department inspected professional may provide
catering for events with over 40 attending. To ensure
sanitation and house rules are followed, a separate
contract is required with the vendor for delivery of food, its
service and presentation. Plates, silver and glassware and
any other equipment and instruments may be rented from
The Melange.

To help with overall coordination and communication,
you/caterer would also need to hire the services of
Melange’s front captain on the special event day.

           Handling of Alcoholic Beverages

A corkage fee gives you the privilege of consumption of
alcoholic beverages whether Melange or third party
catering. You may provide your own beer, wine and
champagne. All stemware, cooling, napkins and disposal
are included. Flat fee for corkage: $150 for up to 40 guests
and $300 above. Preparing Mimosas and Kirs for the guests
are extra. We will help with securing your temporary permit
if you wish to provide additionally fortified and distilled
liquor.

Bartenders from The Melange are mandatory. Flat rate for
bartender(s): up to 40- $160, and $320 above. No cash bar.

Destination Weddings and Elopements

For smaller weddings with up to 40 guests, an attractive,
all-inclusive destination special is available. The rental of
Settings, Officiant, Bouquet and Boutonniere, Guestroom
Accommodations, and Melange Catering are included.

                         Quiet Hour

City noise ordinance requires that the end of the event
must be no later than 10 PM. Music and beverage services
conclude promptly at 9:30 PM. There are pubs on Main
Street Hendersonville for additional partying.

Payments & Related Policies

Your special date/weekend will be secured with a signed
contract and deposit payment of 50% of estimated
charges payable with a check or money order. There is a
3.75% electronic payment fee that applies to credit card
transactions.

A guaranteed number of attendees shall be provided to
the Melange 30 business days prior to your event date/
weekend.

Second (final) installment plus a mandatory refundable
security deposit of $500 will be due 15 business days prior to
the event. The security minus incidental charges, if any, is
returned back within 5 business days after the event.

                       Cancellation

In the event of a cancellation, the deposit(s) are non-
refundable. Pending availability, The Melange will gladly
try to accommodate a postponed wedding to a
subsequent date in the same calendar year.
