So much goes into planning the picture perfect wedding....follow an organized to-do timeline to not get overwhelmed! Twelve to Eighteen Months Have engagement photos taken Determine number of guests Choose photographer and videographer Six to Twelve Months Choose and reserve ceremony and reception locations...Brockway Mountain, Lake Superior, and the Lodge grounds are all gorgeous ceremony spots! Speak with Mariah at the Lodge about theme, tone, and time for wedding events Determine & ask wedding party to share and help with your special day Select and order all wedding invitations and stationary items Set-up a wedding registry Book Florist...simple greens, birch, and wildflowers look great at the Lodge! Four to Six Months Book cabins for your out-of-town guests - We can help you book over-flow rooms in Copper Harbor Select hair/make-up artist & schedule practice session Select and order bridesmaids dresses, groomsmen attire, shoes & accessories Purchase Wedding Party gifts Send out Invitations KML 2021 Wedding Guide PAGE 02
Two to Four Months Send in your name change documents & apply for your marriage license Schedule wedding rehearsal and make rehearsal dinner reservations Schedule reception dinner menu tasting and decide on a menu Month of Wedding Have final gown fitting Contact all vendors to confirm arrival times Finalize and order wedding programs Keep up with thank you cards as you receive gifts Two Weeks Before Confirm transportation plans Create baskets for out-of-town guests - local Copper Harbor goodies such as maple syrup & jams are always a treat! Week of Wedding Pack for honeymoon & any outdoor adventures you want to experience in Copper Harbor...hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking are all fun adventures! KML Ceremony Add-on +$600 Rehearsal assistance One half hour rehearsal time slot on location Decoration assistance Three hour time slot on golf course for set-up, ceremony, and tear- down. Arbor with white drapes KML in-house decorations available for use at no extra charge All wedding packages include the assistance of the onsite Events Coordinator. Event space is available to the party from noon on the day prior to the event.
