The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at Coventry University is leading the way to equip our students with advanced facilities and a wide range of skills and experiences to help them make a positive impact on the world. • At the heart of this is our new Science and Health building. • Our world-class facilities give students an opportunity to learn in situations that mirror real life scenarios. • Our students can take risks, innovate and experience situations that are made to feel as ‘real’ as possible as they learn in a secure and inspiring environment.
Health and Life Sciences • Research laboratories for life sciences, including • A full patient pathway simulation for health subjects chemistry, molecular biology and microbiology. including a ‘working’ ambulance, mock hospital operating theatre, hospital ward, midwifery suite, consultation rooms, high dependency unit and orthotics • Specialist laboratories for sport science, laboratory biomechanics, strength and conditioning, a running track for gait analysis, an environmental chamber to measure athletic performance and a sports therapy • Two simulation houses help students to practice home clinic. based support and investigations using assistive design and technology.
