PEIMS UPDATES 2021-2022 PEIMS Summer Changes: HB 1525 CTE changes RA and RS added to remaining attendance reports Remote Instruction (Crisis Codes 10A & 10B) Bullying and Cyberbullying counts 2021-2022 PEIMS Extended Year Changes: Changes to ADSY ADA/FTE calculations CTE Courses reported in Extended Year We will go over these changes in more detail during our upcoming Training April 8, 2022.
PEIMS UPDATES There is a scheduled TSDS software release on May 6, 2022. The following changes will be included: • Additions and revisions to validation rules to align with TEDS 2022.0.0 - 2022.2.3. • Updated reports with HB 1525 CTE changes. • Updated remaining attendance reports with RS and RA changes. • Updated reports with new data elements to align with TEDS 2022.0.0 – 2022.2.3.
PEIMS UPDATES The following application known issue is scheduled to be resolved with the software release on May 6, 2022. The ADA Elig column is being displayed for PEIMS SUMR and EXYR submissions in the Access Data>Search Submission Data. This data element is not collected for these submissions and should not be displayed.
PEIMS UPDATES The following report known issues are scheduled to be resolved with the software release on May 6, 2022. PDM3-120-004 Disaggregation of PEIMS Summer Attendance Data is not displaying CTE data. PDM3-120-010 Student Advanced Academic Roster by Grade report when run by LEA and selecting multiple campuses, this report shows ‘no data to report’ for each campus selected. PDM3-125-002 Student Disciplinary Action Detail Report for Students with Restraint Events is not displaying the Primary Disability and Multiply Disabled data. PDM3-130-001 Superintendent’s/Principal’s Report of Student Attendance is displaying ‘Row U Percent in Attendance’ on the individual instruction method reports for the total grade summary pages. This row should only be displayed on all methods (combined) report. PDM3-130-005 Comparison of Current and Prior Year Student Attendance is counting eligible days for students who are not LEP in rows BE - Biling/ESL Refined ADA and D1 - Bil Dual Lang Refined ADA. PDM3-130-008 Superintendent’s/Principal’s Summary Report of Student Attendance is counting eligible days for students who are not LEP in rows BE - Biling/ESL Refined ADA and D1 - Bil Dual Lang Refined ADA.
PEIMS UPDATES The following rule known issues are scheduled to be resolved with the software release on May 6, 2022. SUMR rule 10020-0057 is misfiring for each campus registered as a New Tech campus. The rule is looking for the CAMPUS-ID-OF-ENROLLMENT in the Student School Association data, which is not reported in that complex type in the Summer submission. SUMR rule 42400-0013 validation error data should indicate the ‘Sum of TOTAL-ELIG-BILINGUAL/ESL- DAYS-PRESENT’ instead of the label ‘Sum of FLEX-ATTEND-TOTAL-BILINGUAL/ESL-DAYS-ELIGIBLE’. The rule is firing correctly based on TEDS. SUMR rule 42400-0047 is misfiring for a student that has changed campuses and is displaying their data incorrectly for ‘sum of TOTAL-DAYS-ABSENT’. SUMR rule 42400-0048 is displaying error data at the student level instead of the Campus/LEA level. SUMR rule 42400-0067 is displaying identifying information for the Campus instead of the LEA.
PEIMS UPDATES The following promotion known issue is scheduled to be resolved with the software release on May 6, 2022. For 2020-2021 and prior, RF Tracker could not report students with ADA eligibility code of 0-enrolled not in membership because the students were not promoted to PEIMS Summer. These RF Tracker students were reported separately on a spreadsheet. For 2021-2022 and forward, RF Tracker students with ADA eligibility code of 0-enrolled not in membership should be loaded into the ODS for the PEIMS Summer submission to be promoted to RF Tracker. The RF Tracker students with ADA eligibility code of 0-enrolled not in membership are being promoted to the PEIMS Summer submission and they should not be unless they have a NON-MEMBERSHIP-DISCIPLINE- RESTRAINT-INDICATOR-CODE (E1725) equal to ‘1’. After the software release on May 6, 2022, LEAs will need to re-promote their student data for the PEIMS Summer submission.

SELA REMINDERS Students may only be reported with each code value once for LANG-ACQ-SERVICES- PROVIDED (E1662), HEARING-AMPLIFICATION-TYPE (E1666), and TOOL-OR- ASSESSMENT-USED (E1668). For example: If a student receives two different ‘Direct’ language acquisition services, the LEA should only report the one with the highest FREQUENCY-OF-SERVICES (E1663) provided. ELIGIBILITY-DATE (E1723) is the date when an LEA identifies that a student who is deaf or hard of hearing is enrolled and eligible for services. This date may be outside of the current school year. Two codes from the TOOL-ASSESSMENT-CODE table (DC162) are still active but should not be reported – ‘Rubric’ (04) and ‘Other’ (05). These are considered informal assessments. TEA will be monitoring the submission and reaching out to ESCs who have LEAs reporting these values.
